Can anybody please comment on size of singer's fuel tank. I currently drive Infiniti g37 and due for a change. G37 has ( I think ) similar dynamics and fuel economy, but much bigger fuel tank ( 20 vs. 16 ). I keep thinking that I'll have to fill up way too often... what's up with this tiny fuel tank and is it really as inconvenient as I am worried it might be?

It would be an inconvenience to you for sure. You're talking about 4 gallons of range.

How often do you fill up? (# days)
Divide by 20 multiply by 16.
Eg. If you currently fill up twice a month:
15/20=0.75
0.75x16=12
Instead of every two weeks it’s every week and a half.

Just the math says you will lose around 92 (23mpg x 4 gallons). You'll discover the smaller tanks are becoming more common. As "most" cars are getting better mileage, companies are reducing tank sizes, which lessens the weight of the vehicle, and with the milage makes it kinda a wash - smaller tank but better mileage.
However, with the Stinger, yah, the mileage with the GT is bothersome to me, and with a 16 Gallon tank it gives me a minor pause. I have a 16 gallon tank with my Mazda6, but it also averages 27.2mpg overall so...

I posted earlier today about my test driving experience with both the 2.0L and the GT. Based on my experiences, you won't need to "show it off" anywhere, anytime. It'll show itself off. Wow, people think it's some exotic! Seeing the KIA logo must be blowing a lot of minds!

I now drive my stinger only once a week (the honeymoon period faded, and work kicked in) for about 30-40km. The fuel tank size is the least of my concern. I'm paying more for its depreciation more than the fuel at this rate.

Tank size is fine, larger than my last car (2013 Sportage 2.4L) it will go +500 kms from full on premium (Shell V Power) with only 1600kms logged I am currently achieving 11.2kms/100kms, I expect this to go lower as the break in period has past & with more highway driving. Overall happy with performance & fuel consumption.

That’s the only negative of the car. I have to fill up about every 325 miles instead of the 500 I got with the optima

Bigger Tank = Less MPG ... and I think that's where the problem is.
If Kia start using more Aluminium then they might be able to increase the tank, but until then MPG and regulations will keep weight saving to a min.
You could always look at installing a larger tank yourself.

Welcome aboard, @Brkl! Thank you for signing up. As mentioned, just about all gas tanks are getting smaller. Though the Q50s is still larger. Larger than usual for a small car...

Yup, 17.5-18 gallons would be more inline with similar cars, range wise.
Nope, I am not a tinkering type and won't ever consider installing a bigger tank myself
Btw, looks like upcoming genesis g70 has exactly same specs.

I don't think the Stinger's tank is particularly small for a sedan.

I think it is a bit on the small side. Coming from my 2014 Optima SX Turbo that had an 18 gallon tank, I do seem to be filling up more often. The Optima would get about 520 Miles per tank where my Stinger is getting less then 400.
