Tinted headlights

[Get Stung]

Wondering of anyone has tinted their headlights.
Just looking for a light tint nothing to restrictive.
Its probably not legal but nothing is in NY.

I'm curious on this also. I had my headlights covered in ppf, but not tint because the shape of the HL's didn't seem conducive to accepting the rigidity of tint.

If you search, there has been some pics of tint on headlights, although I don't know if it's the whole thing..

I'm completely against smoking both taillights and headlights. I think youre just asking for it, your insurance company loves this kind of stuff though, gives them easy reasons to avoid paying out on a claim. I think the best way to "smoke" a headlight is to paint whatever you can inside the headlight black that isnt a reflector.

If you check my gallery, I have tinted my headlights. And, as a former ny'er myself (Brooklyn to be exact) I have always tinted my headlights. If you look at the pics, there are several with the headlights on, not the brights, and there is no difference . And, to answer the question about insurance companies paying out, I have had Geico for something like 25 + years, and they have never not paid out with the two accident that I have had. So, my advise, ask your tinter their opinion

Lamin-x! I got the tint for the rear lights and it’s fantastic. Super easy to apply and lots of shades to choose from. It is also precut and doesn’t require a heat gun.

Ty, I found similar while researching and found it a bit pricey $70 that said I'll probably have to bite the bullet and get them. I did the rears with some ebay cut outs and it was real easy the headlight looks a bit more challenging with the contours.Ill post a pic when I'm done.
