The faint of heart my want to turn back now, this post will contain pictures that are borderline NSFL of my 6 day old Ceramic Silver Stinger GT2 completely and utterly destroyed by hail......

Six days ago I flew down to Arkansas to buy a brand new Stinger GT2 that had a ridiculous deal going on ($42500!, fully loaded AWD GT2), fell head over heals for it over the next 12 hours as I drove it home to Colorado.

Here she is:

A work of art!

Then tonight Colorado decide that I don't deserve nice things so over a period of 15 minutes it chucked nearly baseball sized hail at it from the sky. Normally it would be in the garage but I am moving tomorrow, so the garage is full of my stuff for one night and this happens: 20180618_200306.webp 20180618_200316.webp20180618_200359.webp 20180618_200520.webp

Truly the saddest of days....

That , REALLY rREALLY , sucks !! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:( SORRY !!

Thanks! Very much appreciated. Probably gonna be on the news tonight in Colorado, channel 7 news at 10 if anyone wants to see some good angles of the utter desolation. Also watch me try not to cry over a car on TV haha.

Haha, one can dream!

Full coverage! Bummed out that I got such a killer deal on it that I had positive equity the moment I got back to Colorado and now that is likely all gone. Oh well. Hopefully I can get a diminished value claim in to cover the loss of value after the repairs are finished.

My heart breaks for you! Hopefully the disparity in value won't be too great. Please keep us posted...

This is completely not fair! :( But at least you didn't cry on camera.

Much sympathy. Still, I'm surprised you didn't lie on top of the Stinger to protect it from the hail.

Ow! Sorry about the loss, that was truly some evil sized hail. Hope your insurance makes you whole, and the inconvenience is minimal. I picked up a windshield crack with less than 600 miles on the car, and I thought I was having a bad day - kind of puts things in perspective!

Shortly after the last hailstorm came through here, I drove down the street and a guy had laid a mattress on top of his new Mazda - first time I've seen that!

42500 he did get it for free . The only one who's going to make out on that deal is the insurance Company 42500 Bummer sorry for your loss . If they're selling them now at 42500 I think the resale is going to suck , after three years or whatever . GT 2 AWD Vacaville California they have two at 47000 , yes I should have waited a little bit longer and looked at the dealers in Arkansas I will enjoy what I got just gonna drive it and enjoy it we love it .

Ahhhh mate, so sorry to see these distressing images, you must be shattered, I feel your pain, I hope it does not take too long before she is back as good as new.

I'm really so sorry that happen to you in general. But this happening just as soon as you bought the car.. for that I'm beyond shocked.

I wish I had thought of that! Had no clue how bad it was going to be though, we get several hailstorms a year here but normally .5" or so, and the car cover would have been plenty. Baseball size is just brutal :(

One bit of good news, the sunshade on the sunroof did a great job keeping all the glass out of the drivers seat! So I got that going for me...which is nice.

Hey, I'm in Colorado as well, same color combo too. That sucks about the damage your car took, I am in Boulder quite often and was glad I wasn't there last night. Did get some golf ball sized hail in my area but was garaged. Why wasn't yours in the garage? Just curious since you're parked outside one.

Edit: *Re-read your post and saw that you were moving*
