I'll admit that at first I didn't submit my cell phone pics for exactly this reason—not slick or professional or clear enough. But I've come to think that for a first effort at a calendar, a collection of people's heartfelt "snapshots" is actually kind of appropriate. We're in love with our cars, and this will maybe express our enthusiasm even better than professional shots. Which pictures of family and friends do we usually value most, the professional portraits, or the slightly wonky candids? Over the next year, those of us with the skill and the equipment can attempt some really pro-looking shots for next year's calendar, but this year, why not do this?Is this going to be a 2019 calendar?
I hate to be a negative Nancy but it seems like this is just going to be a booklet mostly full of cell phone pics. There's some nice cars in the albums but the majority of the photos aren't calendar worthy, imo.
At this point why not just grab some high quality professional pics from Google images, make the calendar, and give credit to the photo owners in the back?

How about a good looking photo of a good looking car.I'll probably upload more of mine, but I'm not feeling the whole likes situation. I think most people would like the photos of a good looking car and not a good looking photo instead.
Yes, this first one is more like the family album or the new baby book. We have a whole year to prep the highly professional 2020 calendar.I'm going to take a few pics this weekend and post. I agree with @eljay in that I kind of like the relatively amateur photos of our awesome first run cars. It's pure and simple. I'm sure down the road there will be plenty of those professional type photos, but these are special.![]()
Because that isn't as much fun. Even I submitted a few pics today, because of Sal's email, just for fun.Is this going to be a 2019 calendar?

There's a few photos like that. We just gotta get more if we're gonna be serious about a calendar. I'll definitely get some more in before Dec 1. I think it'd be best though to put a poll out. I see photos/albums getting views, but people might be less inclined to actually like photos. How about a good looking photo of a good looking car.

And then the photographers sue Sal for using their photos for monetary gain. "Credit" is not what most photogs want.Is this going to be a 2019 calendar?

The original post said the 12 chosen will get a free copy of the calendar if I'm not mistaken. So I hope it's a physical calendar? Otherwise people would just make their own calendars from the uploads.I dont think it was Sals intention to make it a hi def calendar, maybe an electronic version. Correct me if im wrong.
It's a physical calendar - but using our own images is not a legal issue. Using issues found elsewhere online - would be...The original post said the 12 chosen will get a free copy of the calendar if I'm not mistaken. So I hope it's a physical calendar? It would be nice if we could get some winter pictures for the winter months.Still one more day to collect votes...
