The key fob

Hello everyone, sorry to hijack this post but was wondering if it is possible to program the individual Key Fob to move the seats into memory 1 or 2 (mirrors, and steering position) to the relevant programmed Seat memory 1 or 2 ? I asked this in another thread and was told it cannot be done. I am a multi-driver family thinking of buying the Stinger. I own a Volvo S60 now and previously an A8L - both had this feature - which is really handy. Not sure this can be achieved for Kia Stinger ? Appreciate further confirmation - maybe the car manufacturer can do it ?

Just press the 1 or 2 button on the door panel. The seat (by default but can be changed) always retracts to enable easier entry/exit and adjusts when the car is started, so simply press which ever button on the door you want. The seat doesn't move until you either start the car, or press the button on the door.

The System recognise the key when you save the positions in 1 or 2.
If you come back with Key 1 and open with remote the positions go to 1.
If you come with Key 2 the positions go to 2.
This works since the first Amanti...

So the door mounted buttons are only needed when not using your own key?

Doesn't work that way on my GT2. If the wife comes back with the car with Key1 and I get in the car with Key2, it pushes the seat to Key1 position which for me is like driving with my knees on my chest. So I get in the car before starting it and push Seat2 before starting the car, otherwise I get crushed under the steering wheel. Go figure.....

Thank you. You just made my day !

Yeah. That is what I am worried about. Having a big tummy myself, if the key is not activating my seats, my tummy will be driving the car instead of my hands when I get in.

My Honda fobs were #1 and #2 linked to the seat buttons and all other memories. Nice but I am the driver so not needed but a missing feature that would have been easy to program in.
I’ve also seen leather glue on wraps for the fob. Not sure about that. First the glue will mess up the fob and you know from going in and out of your pocket it’s going to get warm and pressured and start to shift. Meh.

Also not mentioned. You have to pry off a piece of the door handle to use the key. May be a good idea to practice that before it’s needed. Then you’ll know what to do whether it’s day or night. All cars break sometime even a Stinger. LOL.

Also, I’m leaving the key fob alone. My plan is if someone stops me in a parking lot asking about my then rebadged car, what is it? I can show the fob KIA logo. I don’t think that will go on much longer though. Marketing is working. I’m getting specific questions on the car features. Not the brand.

The solution to that is that the seat retracts back to facilitate entry and exit. Then you either choose the seat position number with the button before you start the car, or if you were the last person out of the car, it will revert back to the last seat setting position when you start the engine.
