if the adaptive learning has been reset does it not do the 3-2 down shift when coming to a stop? Or does it hold 3rd gear for longer to reduce speed before going to 2nd, thus naturally reducing the engine brake effect or "jolt" as everyone is saying. My experience is that while the 3-2 is definitely noticeable while coasting to a stop, I would not call it a rough shift.
This is likely by design to try and keep the torque converter in lockup for as much as possible.
