The guy who wrote this article is a moron.

It almost feels like a piece written by someone who was paid by Ford, Dodge, GM to write or the car has personally wronged him. I get that it isn't the most engaging car (I have tracked it and it is a lot of fun, but not crazy until you get brave and turn traction off going around corners), but that isn't how it was designed. It is first and foremost a GT car. It is meant to be comfortable and planted and not squirrely with huge under and over steering. It is sad cause yes he is entitled to his opinion, but that was a waste of my time.

Hes never seen a 360 camera, except on a 140,000 lexus. hahahaha ok bud. Yea this is not a car guy

I took it as he's saying it does everything well but it wasn't engaging to him since there's no drama. That's kinda how I feel when driving certain german cars; most are so sterile and clinical that they feel dangerously boring.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Yeah it’s clearly a bad written article. He praised how well equipped it is... but says it feels “cheap” but still better then other cars at that price point.

Then talks about how well it performs “but he wants something dangerous” this sounds like someone that wants a 94 Dodge Viper. And not a modern car.

really I think it’s the KIA badge that irks him. If it had a merc badge or a BMW badge and costed 70k plus he would love it.

I'm not sure how you can criticize the Stinger interior for feeling "knock off", then without any irony at all, suggest that the Dodge Charger is a better buy.

I like the Charger, but dude the interior was last majorly updated in, what, 2014? At least I can understand that comparison, though. The Charger is in the same class for the most part. But the Civic Type-R? Really?

Actually overrall I think he praised the car lol. He said the "interior" was a little cheap but everyone has said that if you compare to the German brands.

Like G70 Owner said though, if the only car hes reviewed that has a 360 camera then he never reviews cars. Because practically every car has that option nowadays.

But this is the part where the author showed some stupidity IMO.

There are two cars that I think offer a huge problem for the Kia Stinger GT. They are the Honda Civic Type R and the Dodge Charger R/T.

Because literally everyone says Stingers are Scat Killers. Especially at the strip. Also if he thinks Stinger interiors are a little cheap then I want to know what he thinks of rental car Chargers. Plus Chargers dont even look good.

lmfao I had to re-read a few paragraphs just to make sure he wasn't being sarcastic or trolling. What a clueless clown haha!

It reminds me of this nonsense trash "car enthusiast" article that I was reading about 2 years ago at the airport... the guy was going on and on about how incredible his experience was driving a C7 ZR1 but then when I was looking at pictures of him sitting in the actual Corvette I could tell (from the angles, although the picture was cut) that it was a Z51... lmfao... His review was quoting specs and numbers but it was clearly written by someone who never has actually sat in a performance car.

Back to subject...

The majority of journalists, reporters, writers, and reviewers have gone down in quality. Everyone and their mother can write something up and post it online nowadays...

The Stinger is way more stylish than that Honda. I can drive the Stinger to work without people thinking I'm some car crazy teenage kid. Although it probably isn't a bad car and you get 320HP for the price of the (premium) 2.0T Stinger in Europe, I don't see many of those driving around either.
The Dodge, that's more subjective, just not my kind of car.

Every time I approach my car I think: "Damn, that looks good!"

I have no idea why the Stinger isn't more popular, but I doubt it is because buyers get one of those 2 other cars.

The Charger front looks like a Honda or vice versa..I remember someone posting but this guy is the epitome of stoopidity in automotive journalism.

Everywhere I drive my Stinger it gets attention.
People admire the car, but not enough to pay the kind of money Kia is asking.
Perhaps they still view Kia as the old Kia.
Either way I'm happy.
I like that our cars are rare.

When I was driving through a more rural part of Georgia last summer someone came up to me and asked if my Stinger was a Maserati. I pointed to the front badge that said "Kia" and he paused for a second and asked if Kia was sharing parts with Maserati. I explained how Kia got some inspiration and tips/tricks from some German brands.

But yeah the Stinger got a lot of attention during my drive from South Florida to Westchester County at gas stations and rest stops haha.
