• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Tell me what you think about your Stinger's suspension dampening (mainly the rear)

Can all my fellow Aussie Stinger owners tell me what they think about their suspension dampening (mainly the rear). On my GT adaptive suspension the rear feels a bit too stiff in compression and definately too stiff in rebound. In the town where I live the roads are crap and at 50 kmh the rear of the car can be very jolting going over all the undulations. Also at speed over broken surfaces it can be quite jittery and skittish. Now I know our Aussie version had some tweaks made to supposedly make the car more to our way of driving but I wonder how it compares with the other world markets in suspension harshness?

Change the drive mode to custom and set your ride preferences. I do believe it resets itself each time you start car.

Thanks guys for the replies. Maybe it's just me but the rear with the adaptive suspension over patchy roads is somewhat compliant but can be jittery. It feels like the rear is skipping over the road surface like a ute that doesn't have enough load in the back and also hits rather hard over a suburban dip in the road. FYI with adaptive suspension ECO = Comfort, Comfort = Comfort, Sport = Sport, Smart = A mix between Comfort & Sport (not sure how that is achieved but the ride doesn't feel like sport or comfort but a generic mix), Custom = Either one of the 4 above modes. So setting it to custom won't magically give you anything different from the other modes as far as the ride quality but yes you can mix the suspension setting with other settings for the throttle response and the steering feel.

I would like to be able to modify things a bit more. In Custom, basically, you set specific elements to what is equivalent to Sport or to Custom. It'd be nice to have a 3rd, middle setting, for instance.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
