Hi All,
I have a ‘22 GT1 RWD with 12,000 miles (from new - traded my ‘18 Premium).
I’ve noticed that on cold starts it makes a noticeable tapping noise for 35 seconds and then disappears. Almost like there’s no oil or there’s a tappet or lifter issue. Sounds like my dry sump LS3 Corvette I used to own which was known for similar noises and was disconcerting! Others have asked me about it and I can’t give them an answer.
Any input from you guys out there?

Most likely the high pressure fuel pump. It's normal.

Definitely your HPFP till it gets lubricated. Some are louder than others. My 2023 GT2 AWD is extremely loud for the 1st 35 sec of cold starts also. I was told nothing to worry about. Hope this helps my friend.

Thankyou Steve. Appreciate it

If it annoys you at startup a little tap of the throttle immediately quiets it down.
