Discuss.

That looks awfully familiar lmao

Lap3Pro is a bad copy of the JB4 anyway so why not also make a bad copy of the JB4 Mobile app? lol

Hmmm, I prefer their current setup with the menu buttons at the bottom (where my thumb would be closer to).

The only real differences between this and the current one is the UI, the methanol injection setup (finally), and the firmware update. I prefer where the older one has the Mode change, though: it's right on the main page and is probably the most common thing I access when I have to make long trips and switch to 91 instead of my usual 91+E85 mix.

Other than that, the app and the chip have been great! I wonder how they're going to handle the methanol setup, though: are they going to sell their own kit? I'm thinking of just building out a custom kit when the time comes. It'll be cheaper than any of the pre-made kits...

For the few of us who may have been living under a rock, this is what the JB4 app looks like:

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
If that was quietly aimed at me, that was hilariously out of place since I had looked at and decided against the JB4 per several prior mentions in various threads, lol  Also funny how my reasons continue to... *ahem* pan out.
Was that too obvious? :ninja:

It's why I'm glad I didn't get one, or I'd have to constantly find the time to jump into forums to help sell it to other forum members while trash talking competing products so I can feel like I'm part of the crowd. :D I don't work for free, I'm surprised at how often you all do. o_O

It's actually the other way around most of the time but here is this not a matter of promoting one product, but to point out a very questionable practice.

There is a saying that goes "If you cant beat them, then join them"

WTF is up with Lap 3 lol.....All this waiting they been doing to release the ecu tune worried about about someone stealing their tune but I can see why there so paranoid .....seems like they are the ones stealing ideas......

What the hell do I know......

Well, I certainly am feeling a little less "rock-covered" now.. :-)

ZyroXZ2 - what where your reasons? Or did you spell them out above?

Now, the question is - does the Stinger allow any native apps? Any way to get the jb4 app into the actual in-car device?

Don't worry it's one thing to copy some screens on an app. It's another thing all together to make it actually work properly. We've been at this for years. I wish them good luck. :)

Wow this is straight copy and paste huh @LAP3 Tuning

Kind of obvious you just took all the jb4 tech.

Ever heard of the term “Chinese knockoff” or “Korean knockoff” those mother lovers make Jordan shoes better than Nike.

Technically not a copy and paste, they used different colors on the gauges. Very creative I must say !!

There is only so many ways you can put gauges on a screen...

The new JB4 mobile app will change that quite a bit from what I've seen

There's a new app coming out?
Yes but I haven't seen an update from the post over on n54tech for ~1month. The gauges will be resize-able and you can customize how many you want to see on the screen.

developing these type of apps and making them work "properly" takes time, and even then there are still a few kinks that present themselves after release, so in retrospective it's good that they are taking their time to make sure everything is working as best as possible at the moment of official release.
