I understand that the Eibach progressive springs will help with body roll. What I am also trying to fix is when I take a turn, especially at highway speeds (like taking an exit onto another freeway) and the tires hit a gap or bump in the road, the car feels like it gets a little squirly or uncontrolled, almost like a FWD car does. Would the springs eliminate that or drastically reduce it? I hope this makes sense. Thx in advance folks.

Also, I talked to Eibach and they gave me the spring rates of their springs vs OEM spring rates. I was hoping to get peoples thoughts on whether the springs will cause a noticeable difference in ride quality. Here they are:
Eibach: front is linear springs with spring rate of 194, rear progressive with spring rates of 331 and 565 (Eibach tech said to ignore the 331 number when it comes to ride comfort but not sure why)

OEM: front 172 and rear 485
 
You're going to get some opinions I have no opinion on. But body roll is a huge part of an improved sway bar. It forces the car to remain flatter when cornering. Someone has reported an opinion that sway bars alone fix some or most of what you're reporting.

That makes sense. The Eibach tech said the springs would fix it more than just sways, but recommended I do sways and springs (of course) but I am afraid of making the ride too stiff. Body roll I know would be sufficiently contained by the springs. My biggest issue is how to fix the instability when hitting a bump or flex point when turning at higher speeds.

My noobishness must be showing: I don't notice enough body roll to make me want to do something about it. The beast corners flatter than any car I've ever driven or ridden in. And when it hits bumps and dips in the road surface, it compensates (with AWD at least) impressively well: I do not feel like I lose and regain control: the car is in control: it's designed to be in control, with electronically regulated suspension and traction and stability controls on, etc.

Short version: for my current expectations, I think the Stinger AWD GT1 is enough of a "race car" for the open road.

I find that the car is somewhat "unsettled" over mid corner bumps. It does also lean a bit in corners, more the back end. I've gotten used to it but I'm looking forward to more people trying out suspension mods and reporting back. On previous cars I've found the RSB upgrade to greatly improve body roll & give you near instantaneous turn in.

I'm personally not looking for a drop of 1+ inches. With bad roads and snow in the winter this car would become a snow plow. But I'm sure the combo would be killer. Probably not a GT car any more though.

Unless you are super sensitive springs and sways will not be too stiff. If you are comfortable with sport mode suspension then you will be good. Go read my review thread in the suspension section.

Low speeds, lower cost.
 
Unless you are super sensitive springs and sways will not be too stiff. If you are comfortable with sport mode suspension then you will be good. Go read my review thread in the suspension section.
Am I misunderstanding something? Sport mode duplicates what these suspension mods do to the other driving modes? Are people wanting all of the driving modes to feel like Sport? And if so, then when you get the suspension mods, does Sport then become "uber Sport", i.e. stiffer yet?

I am not a supension expert, but from what I've read in this forum and experienced in my former cars and my GT2, I could state these for you..
The floating behavior of the suspension on bumps, potholes is due to the adjustment of springs and shock absorbers, while the shock absorbers do not yet exist an upgrade, upgrading the springs are the only way to improve the suspension performance in these particular situations.....I'm in the process to replace the OEM with Eibachs.....
Regarding the body roll were the springs & shocks play an important role, the main suspension part responsible in avoid an excessive body roll are the sway bars.
I recommend to you read the DaJakson post about this matter, because you will have to adjust the headlight pattern after replace the springs....

I would say the firmness over bumps in Comfort with springs is the similar to Sport in stock form. Sport with springs is slightly firmer, however no where near harsh.

The body roll is significantly improved over Sport mode though.

I started driving with the suspension in sport mode to see if I really feel any difference. Figure I’ll do that for at least a week to see if I notice a difference.

Yes that unsettled feeling is reduced, I wouldn’t say eliminated though.

54.3% reduced. Dang man I don’t know how to quantify it.

It would give me concern going around an off ramp quickly with expansion joints before, now I don’t have concern.

Lol thx. I wasn’t asking for a quantitative analysis, but rather a qualitative one. So thank you!
