I was doing research on this to see if they could be OEM, but all information I come by shows the GT comes equipped with two stock airboxes attached to each throttle body. Needless to say, I was estatic, but confused. The dealer didn’t know anything about it..lol. They figured the CAI’s to be OEM- which is not true. It would have had to have been the shortly cited previous owner who was responsible.

I did some more research and I found out what these are.

They’re from a small business but popular called Agency Power, and these items are apparently well known in the Stinger community, though may not be as popular as the Injen kit. Still, $528 I didn’t have to pay.

Lol, glad to know the dealership put a GT on its lot without propping the hood up great find, though! Intakes✔

Did you paint the plenum cover too? Or has or been that way since you got it?

Kia does not paint the engine covers to match the car's paint. The previous owner of your car did that.

The intakes do no require a tune, btw.

Ok- to “match,” then- because according to Redline Reviews, Kia does paint the plenum covers. Okay then- that is phenomenal..another well done mod found.

Guess you gotta change your signature lol

This almost seems suspect - have you ever checked your VIN on carfax? Or ask your dealer for a carfax report?

Just so I'm clear we're talking about the same thing, when you say "plenum cover" are you talking about the plastic yellow and black cover over your engine?

If so, you're partially correct, Kia does paint them. When they leave SK they're all painted black with red lettering.

Google "Kia Stinger engine" or "Genesis G70 engine" and look at the pictures.

I’ve checked the vin, and I’ve had the Autocheck report since before owning the car. What exactly an I supposed to be suspicious about?

edit: I misunderstood/didn't fully read your intro post.

I figure so. Not complaining.
I wouldn’t be complaining either. That plenum looks awesome. You’ve got one of 500 cars in there US with that color and it already has a cold air intake installed. Better check underneath to see if it still has the stock exhaust too.

Thanks. Yeah, will do- though I do believe the exhaust is stock. I’ll recheck soon. I thought there were only 400 Yellow’s in the US? Anyway, I’ll be checking.

Actually it was 400 Sunset Yellow. And Kia didn't sell all of them. Yet. :D
