I'm definitely getting compressor surge when jumping off the throttle from hard acceleration. Am I wrong in thinking the car shouldn't be doing this? Am I wrong in thinking it is bad for the turbos? Sure it was a cool sound on big boost cars back in the day but not a fan if damage is possible. I don't have a video of it but it is not bov sound. Definitely that surge/turbo "chug" sound when hopping off the throttle. Installed Injen intakes, JB4, HKS plugs, ADD-W1PRO bov's and catch cans with MBRP cat back exhaust. Just looking for some advice on how to stop it. Thanks in advance.

ADD-W1PRO bov's
That would be the first thing to check. If you're getting turbo flutter and not the BOV woosh when you're letting off the throttle, then your BOV's aren't allowing the excess pressure to "blow off".

So, softer or tighter on the bov settings? I figure I can make a half turn and test continuously until the issue is gone.... But what I have also found, is that at full throttle when the car hits second, the BOV's start to just open up and push air out of them and lose boost through the next few gears. So ADD W1 suggested the valves be set like in the pic. But that was a no go as far as them opening up still under full throttle from first to second.

Sadly I can't help you there. Still on OEM BOV's. There are several others on here who have swapped out to aftermarket BOV's.

This is the sounds we have .... im in the same situation
Wtf is that in map 1...
Map 0 nothing

Still have the stock BOV's? put those back on and give it a rip. The BOV's are computer controlled so they only thing you should adjust is the off throttle setting, soft(quicker) Pshisss or hard(slower) Pshisss. I would also check the seal under the adaptor plate and the snap ring to make sure they are seated. Make sure the vacuum lines on the BOV control solenoid are good too, especially the one that run up to the intake. The control solenoid can also be finicky with higher boost pressure, leaks a bit and causes a stutter and slow build at times.
