I had a showcar that I used to compete with car stereos years ago and was collecting dust for about 20 years.

OK , so not even close to stock then , I'm interested to your opinions on modifying the HK sytem to max the sound performance , I'm not dissastisfied completely at all but am always looking to improve . What part of the States are you located in .?

I have the capabilities of making is sound better than 99.999% of anyone in the world but I might keep it stock to preserve the limited edition integrity. I have other cars I can build sound toys with if desired.

I already have buddies of my own trying to talk me in to getting crazy with the sound but for now I will take baby steps with my upgrades but maybe down the road I will get into it some. The biggest issue with new cars like this is everything is designed for compressed sound by using files from phones and other mobile devices which I despise as it is not audiophile grade especially without using a CD player or turntable as the source so no matter what I do the sound is crap at least to my standards which is one of the biggest reasons I could careless about the sound system.

In the whole audio/subwoofer thread did we ever determine if the 9-speaker system actually has the floor grilles for subwoofers just with no subs under them, or is there just nothing under the seats? If they put the holes and grilles in all units and just leave the subs out I suppose you could put some there and it'd still look stock.

I can check mine later tonight possibly. I know the grill are there on my gt but I haven’t bothered to pay any attention to them yet.

I got her home. I made the dealership leave the protective interior wraps in place and I did not allow them to detail car either as I want to leave it unmolested until I get the ceramic coating and clear bra.

Congratulations! Your Stinger looks amazing! That Probe is very nice as well. It must have sounded pretty amazing inside...

You may become so obsessed with power that you would never even think of adding weight with speaker magnets.

Hopefully I won’t go crazy. I’m thinking dual tune lap3 with the plugs and possibly catch cans but I want to see more feedback from everyone before I do those upgrades.

New Sunset Yellow Owner here! Quick question, is the Limited badge on my front fenders supposed to be there?

If you're in America it is, because that's the only way we have to get Sunset Yellow in this year's model.

What I like is that dealerships had to compete with other dealerships just for the privilege of receiving one of four hundred Limited Sunset Yellow Stingers then the salesman doesn't even bother mentioning it to buyers? Oh you like yellow? Yeah we got a yellow one right over there. Hah!

I had those Contis's on my X6 and they were great ! enjoy ! Ya about the badge , I dunno ! maybe Take it off ? just doesnt fit the image of Limited or the GT ???

westcoast you've got the Canadian "Limited" right? What trim level is that equivalent to in USA, the GT2? Do they all come with Limited badges there? I don't believe our GT1's and GT2's come with any badging to differentiate them from a base GT.

Sorry for the above issue , wife !! I digress , we do not have any LIMITED badging here to distinquish the 2 versions , despite all Canadian GT's being AWD the Limited version has all the tech goodies and missing US features
