4th night as a Stinger owner and I was admiring the excellent fit and finish of the car when I noticed "chunks" ripped out of the seal at the front edge of the sunroof. I will certainly be calling the dealership in the morning and left my sales guy a long email (not scathing as it isn't his fault) with pictures looking for some assistance in the matter. Has anyone else noticed something like this on their Stingers?

I have heavily compounded the whole top not even a scratch it seems that a sharp object was pressing into the rubber areas.

Yea, they need to replace that

Nope. First pics/story I've seen of that one. Replacement for certain, without argument, is my prediction.

So far no issues. They are already looking to see whether the strip itself can be replaced, or if they will need to replace the entire glass section that meets the windshield. I hope if it is the latter, that everything seals up properly.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Whoever did PD and also handover would more than likely have been aware of that so it doesn't speak too highly of dealer staff.

Just a quick update here for now. Took the Stinger in to the dealership Friday morning to get an actual pair of eyes on it. The entire glass piece between the sunroof and windshield is going to need to be replaced. I am really hoping they do this right and I don't end up with any issues after it gets taken care of. Everything else about this car so far has been perfect.

I should have an appointment scheduled in the next week or so once the glass piece comes in from Kia.

How can they hand that over to a customer. Disgusting. Good luck with the repair.

New or used? Lazy but not terribly surprising for a used car. Completely inexcusable on a new car.

Brand spanking new. It is frustrating for sure, but not a whole lot of recourse at this one issue. Nothing is leaking, and nothing is coming out of my pocket. If anything comes back out of whack I will become a pretty unhappy camper seeking action.

I wish I had noticed when I took the first test drive at 8 miles, and when I took delivery at 29 miles. It had to come off the truck that way or someone jacked up deliver (not likely) because the only miles that were not me on that car were during the delivery process. So very odd.

When I buy any car I take about 30 min to an hour opening everything, checking panels, paint condition, rattles, interior damage the only thing I couldn't is to go under the car. Good luck glad Kia is standing by their products and fixing it for you at no cost.
