I have owned my Stinger GT for 4 years, and it is fantastic.

For all of that time I have been required to perfect the critical timing required to make the sunroof open and then stop it moving when it is at the maximum tilt angle before the roof starts sliding open.

However, I just recently learned that if I just push the sunroof button directly up, as opposed to sliding it back/forward, then this will open/close the tilt angle - no special timing skills required!

Is it just me - did everyone else already know that the button could just be pushed upwards to control tilt?

yes, had a similar sunroof in my previous car.

Had mine 3 years and still finding out the odd little thing here and there, I did know about the push up for tilt, had a glance at the manual but I've had a similar sunroof before.

Lol, "interesting discoveries good and bad" thread, that's where this belongs. And yes, years in, new stuff to be discovered. I knew about the tilt function early, but that was just a fluke, not me being a smarty pants. Interesting Discoveries Thread (Good or Bad)

Since day one, just by experimenting and also past experience with other cars.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
We all knew about it, discussed it, and decided not to tell you.

In all seriousness though, another vote for the "Interesting Discoveries" thread linked above. This car is so complex that there's tons of stuff you'll never find.

Since it's 100+ pages, I'd just leave it open in a tab and skim a few pages at a time. You're bound to find some interesting stuff in there.

I knew about the push to tilt...but...

What it took me forever to find out what that there is a detent when pushing/pulling the sunroof button forward and back (not up).

Pull the button back to the detent just opens the shade. Pull all the way back and it opens both.

From open, push forward to the detent and it closes the roof. Push forward all the way and it closes both the roof and the shade.

Took 9 months of ownership before I figured that out...so I totally get it; especially trying to get the timing right.

same ... previous car had a manual shade. would open with sunroof, or you could just reach up and slide it back if sunroof was closed.
was a lot easier, IMHO.
