Stunned at the stupidity of the general public and their negativity towards KIA/Hyundai

Mazda has a similar problem. There line up of cars and SUV's over the past 6 years or so is stellar. High quality vehicles with outstanding reliability and performance and yet not many of the sheep out there even bother to look. We have a 2018 CX-9 and its almost on par with the Audi Q7 for much less money. Most people out there in the current world are just not that intelligent. The inter web has dumbed down this country.

Dealt with this first hand when I use to own an 11' Optima and told plp I passed up an A4 instead. Not that I blamed anyone back then when KIA was really just starting to get on its feet. I think most of their opinions changed when they sat and drove in it.
Any negative things about the Stinger I've heard from plp in person have only been possible backhanded compliments or what I believe is just there shock of how far KIA has risen in the auto industry.

Well $1800 plus another almost $2000 worth of parts to fix it up... the AC and heat still were never fixed along with some other problems... the two rear doors could not be opened from the outside plus the hood had trouble staying open without being held up lmfao!

Yupperz exactly! The majority of BMW's are no longer the driver-focused enthusiast machines that they once were. Then again though... the majority of cars on the market are simply status symbols with power and/or luxury... very few cars are made today for the driving enthusiast... heck I was reading an article on the Ferrari forums talking about how even the vast majority of the new Ferrari's are really just for wealthy and high-class doctors, lawyers, business owners, etc... they no longer have a soul or thrill or drive... most cars are not raw anymore... I will admit I genuinely miss how much fun and connection I felt with both my e36 and my 3rd-gen wrx... sure the Stinger is faster and significantly more luxurious... but it is missing something and I can't put my ?? on it... idk...

The E92 was such a finnicky machine and yeah, $2k didnt fix much but it was so razor-edge tight, stiff and punch. I had the SMG transmission which, I initially thought was broken for how lurchy it could be. It was truly a car designed to be driven HARD 24/7, not the “daily driver friendly” machines they are today.
The Stinger has something raw and unrefined about it that grabbed me. It has a certain spotaneous nature thats hidden well by its parent brand. Its very Dr.Jekyl and Mr.Hyde duality that allows it to excel at dropping my kids off at school as well as allowing me the luxury of pin-you-to-your-seat acceleration of a more expensive car.

Being honest, im thrifty in my old age and this car excites me like costco-brand vodka!

I don't get the vodka reference, being a teetotaler.

But I do get the Jekyll and Hyde analogy: when I stand on it, I feel like I'm exercising my super powers. There really is something raw and unrefined about that; it's what the "German" designers deliberately brought to the concept car, turned production car: their concept of what a genuine Gran Turismo should be in the performance side of the mix.

It's funny... I genuinely get such a huge smile on my face when I do a quick pull in the Stinger and it pins you back... it never gets old...

Let people have their own opinions and views. It doesn't matter what others think. All that matters is that you're driving a vehicle that you enjoy. Let the haters hate. All brands and makes and models get grief from people. There are too many clowns out there to care.

You know what makes me angry? Starving children, homeless people with nowhere to go, poverty, war, predatory career criminals, etc...

Accountability and horrible decisions (one after the next) plays a major part. Not to mention, the FACT that plenty of homeless folks admittedly choose to be homeless when they're interviewed.
