3.3TT Storm Lowering Springs

Yay!

I'm just trying to find out if the drop changes on AWD models; I assume it does since every other spring has that change. I'd go with Ark but I want a progressive spring which these are apparently.

They are on the k8 stinger store, they ship them straight from Korea. 329USD shipped and I didn't pay duty so just tax.

It's less of a drop, probably similar or less than the Ark ones. Eibach is just too much for me personally, with our winter's/my driving style.

It says the drop is .8 inch front and .6 rear, but I assume that's for the rwd models so it should be about 1.2 inch front and 1 rear for AWD. I might be wrong but I couldn't get any info about the drop rates.

When it settles and you have your alignment, lets see where they sit. I don’t want to go Eiback either because with my front lip in the winter ... so super interested if those are actually a tad higher

I'll keep ya posted, and I'll take some measurements before, after and a week after.

Alright springs are on! Took me about 8 hours.

So the measurements I took before were:

Front- 27 9/16 inches
Rear-27 1/2 inches

After:

Front- Just below 27 inches
Rear- 27 inches

So it seems the drop rates were accurate, even for AWD. I expect it will drop a bit more over the next week to meet the rates they posted of .8 inch front and .6 rear.

First impressions:

1. The ride is smoother, I haven't taken it in the city yet but it glides over minor bumps.
2.There is quite a bit less body roll, steering feels better. Feels less like a boat than before.

Ill post some pics later, im super tired. I got a terrible before pic so I apologize in advance for that.

Update: It's pretty much the same as stock in the city, but it is ever so slightly more rough on crap roads which was to be expected.

Literally any motion that involves weight transfer whether it's turning, accel, braking is much improved

my man !! thank you.
did you do the install yourself ? 8hrs is pretty much what everyone reported for the spring so good on you !
once it has settled, I would love to see the pictures.
These springs could be the make or break for me in term of dropping the car lower for the winter.

thanks !!

Yeah I was solo, I started with the front passenger; if that didn't take me four hours I could have done it faster. I'll get a pic up here soon, too sore right now haha.

thanks for sending those now !!
I think these might just the answer for our winter if we go lower !

cant wait for the settling in to happen for more pictures.

I don't see a difference. This looks higher than ARK springs. And I thought Ark springs were the least drop that was available on the market; But looks like these storms are even higher. Or maybe it's the lighting in your pics.

The pics are really bad, I dropped the ball there. I'm trying to get a good side one today when I leave work.

The website said .8 front and .6 rear for the drop, which I assume was rwd rates but appears to be close to that for AWD.

This ones a little better, I need to take a pic with the sun facing the car. I think its taking me longer to take a proper pic than actually put the springs on o_O
