• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

A thief got access to my key and stole my stock ceramic silver Kia Stinger GT1 (License 8KUV562). It was stolen from Moreno Valley, California and last seen headed towards Riverside driving erratically. If anyone spots the vehicle please contact law enforcement. I appreciate all the help. Thank you.

That’s not the proper way to get out of your lease...

Can you use the UVO app to track/lock/stop it remotely?

I gotta ask...how did a thief get access to your keys?

US models don't have UVO functionality.

A: Could you do any of those if you DID have UVO (ie Canada)?
B: Can KIA still help track it without UVO or is the hardware just not there? I'm not familiar enough with GPS to know.

The car can be located just not through the UVO app or by you personally. I assume you have called Kia already?

Well! "Access to my key" suggests to me that they read it to a laptop, and used that signal to fake entry and startup. Am I right about that? Here you stand with your fob, and no car, because "they" stole your key code.

Probably broke into his house and stole the key along with the Stinger. Either way, hope you get it back ok. :(

What an introduction post into the forum. Bugger.

I'm out in Corona....I'll keep an eye out.

With keyless entry, some people may be able to increase the remote signal's distance to unlock your car. That's why some people choose to build/buy a faraday cage for their keys.
