Hi all, started being active-ish on the forums in the past few months after lurking for years. Had the itch for a new car after owning my 2008 TL Type S for nearly 4 years, and a poster mentioned being able to lock in a Stinger GT2 in Texas for MSRP so that spiraled into me pulling the trigger on this sexy beast. After ~11 weeks wait, I was able to pick her up in Dallas on 9/24 and drove her back to Houston.
Coming from a 2008 Acura TL Type S (and 2011 G37S Coupe before that), the Stinger has been quite the upgrade in amenities/features and power. The TT V6 in sport mode is mad responsive compared to the N/A V6s I've had before, and I'm loving the loaded feature set. It's impressive the amount of technology loaded into the car, and the only ding I would have is lack of wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay.
Currently enjoying it stock, only added the TuxMat floor mats (glad I went with these over my usual Weathertech Floorliners!), OEM trunk tray, Llumar ceramic tint (IRX 30 front, 15 rear, Air 80 on windshield and sunroof), and had her detailed, paint corrected, and ceramic coated a few days ago.
More pictures and background here:
Completed:
1) TuxMat Floor Mats and OEM trunk tray
2) Llumar ceramic tint, IRX 30 front, 15 rear, and Air 80 on windshield/sunroof
3) Detail, paint correction, and ceramic coating
4) Rokblokz slim splash guards
In the works (parts in the garage, wheels and splitters on order):
5) Mishimoto Oil Catch Can
6) Eibach front and rear sway bars
7) ATQ subframe collars
8) Power Stop Z23 front and rear brake pads from K8StingerSTore
9) AFE drop in air filters (Pro Dry S)
10) Stance SF07 wheels - 19x8.5 +35 front, 19x9.5 +40 rears (on order)
11) M&S Force front and side splitters in gloss black (on order)
Once OEM tires are worn out:
12) Summer tires in 245/40/19 front, and 285/35/19 rears
Looking forward to being involved in the community
