Stingers in VA

I was (and still kinda am) in the market for the civic type-r so yeah I am familiar with dealer mark ups. I was once quoted 55k for a 33k car lol.
Mark-ups don't easily go away. I've seen Focus RS marked up over 1 year after the launch.
You just gotta wait for months and years. You will be able to negotiate on those mark-ups pretty soon tho.
Another option you have is to go to other states or areas where the hype isn't that much.
I've seen a lot of type r or rs guys do this.

Stinger isn't a limited production car. Kia will continue building them like fortes and optimas. I don't get the reason behind the markup other than dealerships trying to make money out of hype.
I would just walk out the door as soon as I hear about the mark up.

Thanks for the replies so far. :)
Yes, mine is the Stinger Premium RWD in Micro Blue. I leased it to get the nice lease deals. I just spoke with them (dropped my babe off for the rattle recall) and was assured that I was not "the one" who paid the 5K over MSRP.

Welcome aboard, @Luminary! And thank you for signing up. I highly doubt you were the only one who paid a $5k markup for the Stinger. It IS true that most of the markups (at least those that we've heard of) were for the twin turbo V6 GT. If you really want to get your money back - if you can - you could just say that you're unhappy with the fact that there's already been a build quality problem and you're concerned about more in the future. I mean - if this 3 day money back guarantee really works - you could try that...
