Hi, I was looking to purchase either a KIA stinger or Infiniti Q60. Can anyone help me decide between the two? I also want this car to be able to do low 12s and high 11s. Is that possible without WMI? What type of times and power can I expect with full bolt ons + intake and tune?

Howdy. The 3.3 has been taken down into the 11s; I know this from people on here using their bragging rights. But it is uncommon performance even for mods. I'm not a car guy so can't even begin to expound on the virtues of an Infiniti (other than the name is more cool than Kia:P).

A Stinger and Q60 aren't exactly apples and apples comparisons? What do you want out of your car other than the performance you mentioned (which will require mods/tuning for both cars)? For me, for instance, I needed a car with a big back seat and easy access, thus I was limited to 4 doors. Looks and options for the price swayed me to the Stinger.

I want a car that can take out stock m2 and c63 while still having a luxurious interior and comfortable ride. I initially wanted a coupe but I feel like the price difference in the q60 isnt worth it especially since they no longer have a sport model for the 2021 q60. Its either base or redsport.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Either car FBO and tuned will give a M2 and maybe a C63 a run.. C63's have traction issues off the line but they get down to business once they're rolling. The VR30 has been out longer and is currently more tunable and due to the Q60 being a JDM car, the aftermarket is larger. From what I can see though they're both pretty even in terms of performance, at least with bolt-ons.

Outside of that though, I was leaning towards the Q60 but 10k more for a car that, at least in 2019, looked like a cheap joke on the inside, along with no LSD in a 400HP RWD car made it pretty easy to pass on it.

How much power are you making and what mods?

Also can anyone help me? Ive now added the gensis g70 to the mix. A lot of reviews are saying the G70 is faster as its lighter. However in my area the MRSP is around 8k difference so thats quite a big gap.

I looked into this A LOT before buying. I was all set on a Q50S (not RS) AWD and had a great deal on one.. Except that the sport seats dig into my legs in a weird way, and I just can't sit in them. They're better than the G37S sport seats - those are made for Lilliputian Jockeys. Plus, Q50 infotainment sucks, to put it mildly.

Stinger has Tork (google John Bushbaum's history / reputation before deciding if it's something you can live with), Lap3 JUST announced they can do full tuning and that's mostly it for tunes. There is Pressertech, but they don't do active development and it's pretty much done-and-over-with as far as their tune - stage 1 is all there will ever be unless things REALLY change. No one else has followed through on a decent tune, AFAIK. I guess there are the Motec guys, if you really want a fully customized Stinger. But that's going to take a LOT of DIY work.

Then, you have jb4 from the piggyback side. ~450 whp, maybe a bit more and if you do meth, maybe a bit more than that. But, launching is either super slow (OEM) or a gamble (brake snip).

With the Q50, true flex fuel is a thing: they have pumps, injectors, fully tuned ECU (ecutek), etc. AMS tuning sells various stages, you can get a fully built transmission, upgraded turbos, etc. So, for really pushing things, Q50 is better and probably cheaper. AMS built a 10 second Q50 for testing - 800 hp (whp?) with upgraded driveshaft, etc. They can definitely get you into the 10s.

Of course, after dropping $15K in mods on a Q50, you may wonder if it was the right choice..
