Stinger sold a bit over 1300 for October

That should put it over 15k since Nov 2017. No more "will I get headphones?!" posts.

Actually year to date is 14,344, so some folks will still be looking for some, lol!

Does YTD count November and December of 2017 as well? I thought those numbers were calendar year.

YTD is Jan1-Dec31, they leave the 2017 YTD blank since it wasn't a full year. They sold 843 in 2017, so the total sales is 15,187.

I wonder if I'll get a second set of headphones...lol

must be a new type of buyer, seen a few new ones around town. Give a wave or light flash...look at ya like WTF?

As rare as we are out there, kinda compared it to "it's a Jeep thing" mentality....oh well

I left the Jeep Wrangler world for the Stinger. After about 2 months of owner I saw another Stinger on the road...I was in a difficult position...to wave or not to wave. In the end I did a HUGE wave and and have been waving at Stinger owners since (I’ve seen about 4 in the last 6 months).

335 more units than the Sedona, a minivan! And 8192 units behind the Forte. I'm not so sure the Stinger is really selling all that well?

Mini-vans aren't selling well because SUVs/CUVs are taking their place.

Fortes are a high volume seller and cost 1/3 of what a Stinger does.

Neither of those should be compared to the Stinger in terms of overall sales.

Having said all of that I agree that at 12-1300 units per month the Stinger isn't selling well. But that hasn't stopped Kia in the past (K900).

Does anyone know if Kia ever stated their sales goal for the Stinger? Some articles that I have read have Kia reps saying that they are pleased with the sales of the Stinger. Maybe that is lip-service but I have never seen the "goal" numbers for the Stinger from the marketing and sales dept. Does anyone have insight or information here?

Yes it is, for what it is; a niche car; a statement car; an attitude changing car. Sales have not been all over the place, they have been very consistent, trending slightly lower each month for the last four months, as the MY18 plays out and the MY19 comes in. Will the MY19 maintain the same sales volume? I think it will, and should even go up a bit. As the last of the MY18s sell off for bargains, and the MY19s take over, there should be a slight increase for a couple or few months.

Audi sold 21k A5/S5 vehicles in 2017 so it looks like we aren't "too" far behind that number.

I think for a car like the Stinger coming from a brand that doesn't have the reputation/history/brand image (yet) of the German makes, the numbers aren't too shabby for a first year model of a brand new vehicle in a brand new segment for KIA.

I bought my Stinger Sept 22 and got the headphones Oct 25...and they are awesome!
What’s the deal about headphones? Is it a joke or something legit like an offer from Kia? Sorry if it’s a noob question... just joined.. got my Stinger a few days ago.

The Aussies are all bent over it. :D Kia is weird. But I like 'em.
