I don’t “baby” my Stinger, I’d say once a day I let her rip, through the gears. The other time is casual sportiness, rolling through the gears and downshifting.

Shortly after I go full beans, it’s a mild turd smell. It’s not exhaust smell, but boy oh boy passengers give me a funny look.

Anybody else have this issue? Car does do 1-1.5hrs stop and go to and from work (3 hours total).

Something dead in your engine bay?

Passengers crapping themselves the way u drive?

Mine is still under break-in period, just over 100 miles on the odometer, so it is not driven hard yet. It emits burnt-like smell after a long-ish drive; something is outgassing/curing is my guess. At one point, the smell was so strong, I thought I'd see flames and smoke from the engine bay.

You had me at "full beans" and "mild turd smell" hahhaha

I feel like I've noticed this before myself. How many miles on your car? I think its just the heat of the engine heating plastics and shit under the hood causing them to offgas resulting in the mild smell you're talking about.

Considering the amount of plastics in the engine bay this is not surprising, especially after an spirited driving session. Something I always do is keep the climate control on recirculate so the smell does not get inside.

Hope the reason for the smell is not connected to the recent Stinger Recall regarding the wiring harness on the left hand side rubbing the top of the front fender, the wiring harness may suffer heat damage and possibly cause a under front bonnet fire, as documented in one case, reported by a Stinger owner, and the reason for the Safety Recall.

Thats why in another post I said I could find my stinger in the parking lot by the smell :) sorta like burnt rubber and cat pee

Following the convoy of Stingers from our meet on the weekend each time the vehicle in front floored it my cabin reaked of that rotten egg sulphur fumes , It appears to be quite a common thing.

I’ve put 2,500 miles on my car. I agree, seems like plastics. Also, could be exhaust blow by. I also have the K&N, so I’m guessing the BOV’s might vent some oil or other gassed out through the filters and into the engine bay.

Depending on breakfast, the smell is usually better or worse!

I doubt that's it, if you had an electrical short causing any kind of smoke/smell you would know really quickly. You would either have a fire or your electronics would go haywire/off.
