Carbuzz article quote "Less positive were sales of the engaging Stinger sedan at 1,026 units, making it the worst-selling Kia model in the USA. However, the Stinger's overall 2022 sales (3,107) are actually better than for the same period last year (2,444)."

Considering they don't advertise it at all, it makes sense.

"Worst selling", heh! Compared to much less expensive models, of course, what is more obvious? Compared to the Telluride? Seriously, a sports sedan GT cannot be compared to a full-sized SUV: different "choirs". Kia never expected the Stinger to sell comparable numbers to its lineup: it is a statement and rolling advertisement for the brand. It is a car for enthusiasts. In all of that the Stinger succeeds well. I'm actually surprised that it is selling over a thousand units per month! That is great!

Merlin, I could be wrong here but I am pretty sure that OP meant MY2022, not 2022 as in the last 4 months. mathematically, we would be seeing WAY more stingers on the road by now if they sold over 1k a month.

Edit - Ignore this, Im an idiot and am 100% wrong.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

2022 Kia Stinger Sales Figures A thousand per month, which is pretty much back up to first year sales volume so far for 2022.

For an enthusiast car it really isn't doing too bad. It could sell more if they spent a little more on advertising but they're too busy selling the normal bread and butter suvs and econoboxes to care.

I for one bought mine in March. The changes to the MY2022 GT-Line were significant and checked off enough boxes to make the commitment. If unchanged from MY2021, I would have bought a used 2018/19 Audi S5 Sportback for a similar price- also the reason I refer to it as my "Kaudi".
