Aus, the land of extremes. That's why using what happens to you guys as evidence of "climate change" is problematic.Well, as I stated re: the fires we have been experiencing since Sept. 19 & now with the torrential rain which happens to create flooding, your focus seems to be questioning the dryness of a country you have obviously never visited.
My post was just a lead in from a news story about FLOODING in QLD & the Stinger was in the shot, hence the thread used Stingers in the News.

Climate change BS, this country has experienced these weather systems for centuries, read the second verse of My Country written in 1904 which clearly describes our weather patterns, we probably had 10 cars in Australia at the time.Aus, the land of extremes. Doubt the "care for the land" part. The original denizens of Aus knew how to survive. There were no issues vis-à-vis conservation; that's a purely modern concern. Same holds true with Native Americans; you don't drive a separated clutch of buffalo off a cliff (before the adoption of the horse) and leave the carcasses to decay after taking only the piece/parts you want, if you are a "conservationist". When human population was puny, our impact was likewise puny, and the thought of waste never entered into the battle for survival. (I'm feeling pedantic this morning.)Australia's traditional owners knew how to care for the land

Tribal societies hand down their customs and rituals from generation to generation so isn't that " evidence " how they do things ?We mostly don't know and can only interpret evidence. Traditional "history" is nothing more than society's paradigm, which has been passed on for as long as that society has lasted

Couldn’t agree more mate, other than your original post nothing else in the verbal diarrhea of this thread has anything to do with the stinger or anything else car related. Yet again a thread gets derailed and goes way off topic due to the ramblings of someone with no idea what they’re talking about. That pic you posted was a good catch, at least someone is trying to keep the Stinger Forum related to the bloody Stinger.Gee, I only posted a picture of a Stinger from a news article about road closures due to flooding.
Lucky I didn’t post a picture of the unmarked Stinger that I spotted on the show Ambulance last night, only god or Merlin knows where that could have ended up.
Surely. But conflict creates a need for justification. And then the past gets refashioned by the needs of the present. It's simple human self-interest. (I don't think that we can talk anymore about this on our car enthusiasts forum.Tribal societies hand down their customs and rituals from generation to generation so isn't that " evidence " how they do things ?
Agreed, except the part about "no idea what they're talking about". Sorry, again. I'll try harder to not let my fingers walk all over the keyboard when I'm tired and/or bored.Couldn’t agree more mate, other than your original post nothing else in the verbal diarrhea of this thread has anything to do with the stinger or anything else car related.
