Freak hailstorm just passed thru Austin tonite. Totaled all 3 cars in the driveway.

WOW! had a car hail damaged once (it looked like a golf ball) but it didn't break the glass or do that much damage!

I had a huge storm busting through Oklahoma the other day, i had to hurry to clear out the garage. Sorry to hear ab that.

looks like somebody went by with a ball bat. usually a single hit is all you'd get with hail that large, large enough to smash glass. the larger the hail the more widely spaced it is, usually. 'freak' storm is right!

We had a nasty hail storm come through some years ago. One car got dented pretty good, easily several thousand dollars of damage. But this was nothing compared to the roof. Ended up getting a new roof installed on the insurance co's dime.

Dang! I was lucky to not have the same thing happen. I had tickets to the Austin FC game last night but couldn't go due to work. Q2 stadium got hit with golf ball+ size hail as well. Looking at that damage it looks like you had larger than golf ball sized.

It happens alot with other states, just because its too much to fix and insurances dont think its worth it.

Plus with the ongoing supply chain issues, replacement parts can be very long lead items. Insurance companies might not care to pay for rental cars for an extended period while waiting on parts. I forgot where but I remember seeing a G70 with basically just front and rear bumper cover damaged and torn off. Didn't look like the structure underneath was damaged much, if at all, but it was being sold as a salvaged/rebuildable.

Dang, sorry for your troubles. And I thought I had bad luck because I got a nail too close to the sidewall to patch it in my < 1 month old brand new PS4S 285-35-18.
