Just noticed this the other day.
I kept my keys in my pocket as usual and walked out of the car to open the rear passenger door for my son and my wife. I noticed the door was locked so I took out my fob to unlock the car but nothing worked on the key fob. Lock, Unlock and the trunk button does not appear to work on the fob when the engine is running. The buttons on the door don't seem to work either.
This is extremely annoying when I have to walk all around the car to the driver door to unlock all the doors.

Is this just my car or is this happening to anyone else?
Is there a switch that I need to turn on somewhere?

There's a menu selection for 1 touch unlock, make sure that is selected otherwise on the passenger door you would have to click the button twice in succession to unlock all the doors.

My FOB buttons do not work either once the engine is running

1 click, 2 clicks or frustrated multiple clicks on the key fob, it does not appear to do anything when the engine is running.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
its most likely a built in safety feature
You should be able to unlock/lock the vehicle with your fob regardless of the engine being on/off.
I don't see how this would fall into the safety category when you have a unlock/lock button right next to your window buttons.

Yea, I don't think the fob works while running..it would be too easy to lock your keys in the car.

That's why you have the button on the doors to lock/unlock if the keys were left inside of the car.
All of the cars that I had in the past were able to lock/unlock with the fob when the engine was running...
This is a very odd safety feature...

Same thing as in you are not able to lock/unlock when the engine is on? or same thing as in you are able to?

If u think about it, u come to a stop light and some random person runs to your door, he would be able to open it because ur keys are inside, which would be a safety issue....not likely to happen but plausible

I hear what you are saying but it's a little annoying that the fob key does not work when the engine is on...
I did figure out a way around this over the weekend though, so I hope this helps other people that are experiencing the same issue.

In the dashboard menu settings, under "doors" section, you can have all the doors unlock when the car goes back in "Park" or unlock all the doors when the drivers' door is opened. Choose unlock all doors when the car is in "Park" mode and this will eliminate going around the car to unlock the passenger/rear doors.

You need the new Land Rover Velar, it comes with an “activity bracelet” which lets you lock your key in the car.

That’s how I have mine set up.

The new Land Rover is nice but it will feel very small since we have an Escalade in the house for the family.
The next family vehicle that's in our radar is the 2019 Lincoln Navigator Black Label. Watch the YouTube review and prepared to be amazed.

Yeah, I seen the black label close up but it’s too massive and pricey. I like the velar but I heard the screens don’t work sometimes.

The Velar looks amazing, but the reliability of Range Rover is questionable

A couple of reasons...

#1, a lot of people keep their fob in their pocket...which can easily be triggered inadvertently while driving.

#2, you *really* don't want the hatch coming open while doing 80 on the highway.

What you are mentioning is almost the same as hitting the unlock button on the door inadvertently while driving.
Additionally, there is a built-in safety feature that does not allow the hatch to open when the vehicle is in drive.

My Cadillac and the BMW I had previously fob key works even when the engine is on.
I guess it's just me who found this annoying? Nevertheless, I found the solution so it's not a big deal to me anymore.
