I know these are not direct comparisons or apples to apples but I drove them back to back today and here are my thoughts.
They are both very well appointed cars. I think as far as driving, the Stinger gave much more feedback. The brakes, steering, engine sound, all were great. The suspension also felt much tighter less body roll.
I really liked the seats in the Stinger, very good support. I’m 5’10” 190lbs. The interior is nicely done as well. Fit n finish are quite good and everything seemed well thought out ergonomically. The Harmon Kardon sound system was very good and speaker placement very well designed.
Power was strong from this 3.3 V6 and shifting was quick and crisp.
Love the Hatch! The Launch Control was really a disappointment. Not sure if this is a common issue but there was about a 2 second delay after releasing the brake before the engine would really start pulling?

The G80 is a great looking car as well. I know it’s aimed more at a luxuary ride and it hits that mark perfectly. It’s amazimg how both these cars share a common drivetrain yet drive so differently.
The G80 I drove was pretty much loaded I think the MSRP was 59k. It felt a bit to soft for my liking and I’ll most likely wait for the G70 before I make a move.
On the plus side the car is very nicely appointed for 59k. I can’t think of a European or Japanese competitor that could come close for that money.
The interior was outstanding seats were more comfortable than my old MB S600 and that was a 130k car.
The Lexicon System is maybe the best I’ve listened to in any car. That includes the Mark Levinson System in my Lexus.

For now I would most likely buy the Stinger GT2 but I’ll definatly wait to drive the G70.

Thanks for posting this - the G80 sport was on my list when I discovered the Stinger was coming.

Nice comparison.
How would you rate the Harmon Kardon system in the GT2?

I really didn’t spend as much time in the Stinger as I would have liked. I normally have a couple tracks I always play when comparing systems, I didn’t get the chance in the Stinger as I was to busy using launch control. lol

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
No the system in the G80 is from Lexicon.
Lexicon and HK are made from the same company and in korea the Stinger audio is labeled Lexicon. It may not be the case but I would not be surprised if it was the same system with a different sticker.

HK is the parent company but I would think there would be some licensing issues if Lexicon didn’t have software or components in the Korean Stinger. But like you nothing surprises me anymore.
I would like to spend more time in the Stinger and pay further attention to that HK System.
