STINGER GT2 FOR LONG TRAVEL!

Just drove back from New Orleans to Dallas today. GT2 here. Sat on 70mph the whole way using the active cruise control. Car was fantastically comfortable the whole way. Arrived home still fresh after 8 hours on the road (I refilled 30 mins into the trip). Got pretty decent mileage too I thought for the V6 TT petrol motor.

Did you use regular or premium gas?

Drove from Southern California to Seattle last December, one day after I got the keys!

Planning on doing a round trip, same locations for this upcoming December.

After readI got all these posts I think my driver seat has a defect. The left front seam has a stiff ridge that digs into the bottom of my left leg and is really uncomfortable. I drove for 6 hours yesterday and after 30 minutes my leg hurt and was really uncomfortable and hurt. I put a seat pad on the seat which helped but looks like crap. I adjusted the seat extension in and out with no decrease in pain. I’m going to take it to Kia to be checked out.

Anyone else have an uncomfortable left front corner.

Howdy and welcome. That does sound like a defect; the only one like that I've read about.

I am very close to purchasing my Stinger GT2. Wanted to know everyones experience who loves to travel and take their stinger along. I know as GT suggests Grand Tourer , wanted to know hands on experience who took their car for 10-12hours drive at a stretch , how does the car feel?
How comfortable is it for the driver and the passenger?
And would love to get your honest opinions because I travel a lot and your advices and experience would be beneficial.
Wife and I went on a bit of a road trip in the summer of 2019. Left Summerland BC Canada (close to the Washington boarder) and drove through the northern US states to Newfoundland Canada. On the return trip we went down the eastern sea board of the US to Washington state. Took a right and went back through the mid states to Colorado. Headed back to Canada from there. Did this trip in four weeks so there were some long days on the road. Never had any issues and was always looking forward to the next day drive. Some people complain about the smaller fuel tank but i found it helpful as it forced you out of the vehicle for a bit of a stretch. Can't wait for the US to open so we can finish off all remaining states.

Drove 1000 miles from Northern Wisconsin to NC in a day, absolutely fantastic, the drivewise/auto-cruise/lane keep assist/comfy seats made a long drive feel easy, so much toil as you sit behind a truck in indiana that keeps changing speed, or stuck in construction in kentucky just became listening to music in a comfy seat and keeping watch.

Actually got over 30MPG because I wasn't driving crazy, smart mode kept it in eco 98% of the time but turned on sport for on ramps/passing events. Only problem is the gas tank is too small, otherwise it shines as a GT.

I particularly enjoyed the passing power and handling through the canyons on my way home from Colorado. Made up a good bit of time through there.

Automatic high beams is something I didn't know I needed in my life until I got them.
