Heading down the freeway and ran across a 2018 5.0. Could here his exhaust and could tell it had suspension work. Pulled up next to him and did several 70-130 runs. Long story short, guy couldn’t figure out what just happened. Each run if he led off I ran him down, if I left I continued to pull on him. It wasn’t a huge pull but it was enough to be obvious. He pulled next to me laughing and gave a big thumbs up as I was exiting for fuel. I bet he is still trying to figure it out. Btw, I was coming back from vacation with my wife and about 300 pounds of luggage/ supplies in the Stinger. He was solo.

Same thing happened to me race one with exhaust and it looked lowered as well. Did 3 runs first one I wasn’t ready was in comfort mode. So 2&3 I was is sports mode did 3honks then I was gone I always was in the front but I can see his front bumper where the rear door was. So about half a car back. He was shocked and wanted to go again. But I didn’t have a bunch of gas!

Still trying to get my brother to run his 2018 Charger Scat Pack against me. He was really confident until he rode in the Stinger. Now he wants to go to a prepped track and run drag slicks. Conceded the street to the Stinger without even lining up. Lol

They've have ran the Stinger against the 5.0 Mustang and it beats it off the line, in the quarter mile and even on braking. I believe they've ran it against the charger and it's a bit slower than the Hell Cat by less than a second. The Hell Cat is also a 707 HP vehicle. You won't find many faster daily use production vehicles out there without some mods or special editions, etc. They are out there, but there's not a ton. My brother drives one of those Charger Cruisers for the sheriff's department. He took my Stinger out for a spin. His response... "I'm not confident I'd be able to keep up with you in a pursuit..." LOL

You would absolutely obliterate a Police Charger. They use a sub 300hp V6 and probably weigh 1k lbs more than a Stinger.
It wouldn't even be close.

The one my brother drives is the 5.7 370HP V8.
The 5.7 is super unimpressive to me. Test drove one, decided right then Stinger or Scat Pack. Got the Stinger, brother got the Scat Pack. 5.7 was an absolute dog in comparison

Just be little more specific, the police Charger is the 5.7 hemi plus the SRT suspension and brakes. They are a hybrid of sorts between the R/T and SRT. Still slower than the Stinger GT.
Yes, the 5.7 acceleration is unimpressive compared to the Stinger and Scat Pack. I also like the Stinger suspension over the Charger SRT suspension. While I have read a lot of articles saying the Stinger suspension is only so so, I don’t think the SRT suspension is any better at all
