understood so what would be best option for because I was told that an piggyback works practically the same just wouldn’t have the headache of having to unwire difficult wires with have jb4 has to be set up under hood.Most of the mods for a turbo car are to support better flow rates for the unleashed turbo. If you're capping the turbo at stock boost levels, you're going to be around stock power levels.
But with a tune like the JB4, you can start out mild and work your way up. I don't have the 4-banger results memorized, but Map 1 will give you a couple extra psi and probably 25-30 horsepower, which is about the minimum you can expect to make a difference in driving feel.
If you want to go up to the higher maps with ethanol blends, you'll probably be at or slightly past stock 3.3 numbers.
You really don't have to "unwire difficult wires" for anything. A fully tuned ECU can be swapped out for your stock one (just involves unplugging/replugging stock connectors), a back end flash involves plugging a module like the EK1 into your ODBII port to push software to your stock ECU, and a piggyback like the JB4 involves unplugging and replugging a couple easy to access harnesses.understood so what would be best option for because I was told that an piggyback works practically the same just wouldn’t have the headache of having to unwire difficult wires with have jb4 has to be set up under hood.
