• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi

I’ve been lucky to have had a number of “cool” cars in my lifetime but none of them (and I mean none!) have generated the kind of reactions I get from my GT. Had the car for 8 months and it is the most well received car - from kids to grandparents. Currently on a trip through south east Australia and Tasmania and the car gets reactions and positive comments everywhere I go.

I fear there may not be another Stinger after this model reaches its end point. It’s a pity that Kia can’t leverage the public reaction into better sales numbers!

Nice to hear Oz, it sounds like a very universal owners summation. What colour and trim do you have?

I want to take my car and tour around Tassie, hopefully next year sometime.
Like you I get positive comments, stares each day and as it has a dash cam, I have a chuckle when it captures people checking it out at the car parks.

You’re right - people are very complementary and can’t work out if it’s a BMW, Audi, Maserati, Mustang or something else. They often say how good looking a car it is. The best reaction so far was a middle aged guy who stopped in the middle of the road in Nelson Bay and looked at the car giving a big thumbs up and big smile!

Re Tassy - you should do it - brilliant on the highways and better than you’d think in the mountains (Sport setting copes well with road bumps and undulations - much better than I thought actually!). Only concern was the boat across - they pack them in like sardines and I was worried about picking up door dings!!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I've been meaning to check out the map of Tassie for awhile :D.

The low sales isn't just a fault of Kia marketing. The Stinger has arrived at a time when the SUV is king and large performance cars just aren't on families shopping lists anymore. It may have given the Commodore a run for its money maybe 10 years ago.

UPS guy delivered a package to me yesterday and instead of leaving it on my porch as usual, he knocked on my door to ask about my car.

You should have seen this guy staring at it and talking about it. "Is that a Kia? Whoaaaaa! I cant *expletive* believe it. That thing is sharp!"

He is apparently an M3 driver and his wife has an X5.
