Thanks for posting. Definitely don't have that on my car, as I didn't order any optional dealer accessories when it was purchased.
I did have the KIA parts department pull out the accessory block heater to look at it on a subsequent visit, and it was a DEFA unit that adhered to the crankcase. Not the 'old school' heating element type that fit into a frost plug knockout in the block, which can't be used on these engines.
Between the normal winter temperatures we get around here and the full synthetic oil in the engine, I don't mind if the car has the occasional cold start. Block heater equipped or not, I haven't plugged a vehicle of mine in for years.
