I have the Stinger with the new Kia badge. I want to replace the rear with the STINGER badge.

My question, do the new Kia badge at the rear have holes and pin? If yes then will the Stinger badge cover the hole?

Reason I ask is I am getting a PPF done today and the detailer raised that point.

No holes and pins, front and back!

Run a hair dryer at medium heat setting over the logos for 30 secs, use fishing line to saw through the adhesive, pulling the line toward you so you don't hurt the paint. Most of the remaining adhesive on the panel can be rolled up using your fingers. Use diluted rubbing alcohol to clean up the bits.

Same applies to the small Stinger and GT logos at the bottom.

It's definitely the easiest car I've debadged. I'd go on to say that heat is really in fact optional.

The PPF is on but I am not happy with the front badge after being reapplied. Now there is a 1mm adhesive between the bonnet and the badge. I need to get another genuine new KIA badge so it will properly sit on the bonnet.

Do the dealer sell the new Kia badges? I am located in Sydney, Australia.

Hi Multiplexer
Where did you get the PPF done and how much?

I’m in Canada and I was able to order new badges from a Kia dealer. BTW, the back badge is a little bigger than the front (separate part numbers). I didn’t know that when I replaced mine (I had mine painted a dark charcoal). The difference is small and I actually like the slightly smaller badge on the back.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Super easy to remove the badges. I basically did the same as what was already mentioned, I had the front, hood, front quarter panels and A pillars PPF‘d. I ordered a black Kia badge And dropped it with the detailer. The the detail shop removed the old chrome badge and placed the new black Kia badge on top of the PPF. You’d never know there was PPF on the car unless you knew exactly where to look.
