Stinger 2021 GT2 timelines

Hi,

I was in the market looking to get my stinger 2020 GT2 but I see that new 2021 is flooding the internet with new rear back look photos. I checked with my dealer on when can 2021 be arriving but he was reluctant to answer for obvious reasons.
Anyone who had a chance to talk to a dealer or has any information like nearly when can stinger 2021 be out and be ready to be bought. I Can wait till this next month end if it seems likely but waiting till December or next year would be too far fetched. so if anyone has any idea when they will be available in market to purchase.

December is the most likely, but it may be later (or sooner ) Depending on the market. ie if the US has lots of inventory, it will be later... also keep in mind that the decision may have already been made so current inventory may be irrelevant.

I talked to a sales manager here in Oregon who said they would have the 2021 model on the lot by the end of September. He seemed like a pretty straight shooter but you never know for sure.

If September end is when the 2021 model will be available then I guess it would make sense to wait a little more. I tried asking around here , what I receive was , we don't know , It maybe next month or December or early next week. I was like what? So I got a pretty vague answer.
And one thing I want to know will the lease cash be available for the new 2021 stinger. I don't know if it was available instantly for the 2020 or 2019 models. Any Idea on that.

I'm watching the lease cash deals as well. I'm hunting for a great deal on the outgoing 2020 model (or perhaps on the 2021 model if possible) and looking to do a lease buyout. They couldn't/wouldn't give me any indication on the lease cash for the 2021 model. There is another thread on here tracking the lease cash deals and it looks as though it was 4-6 months after the 2020 was released before there was significant lease cash available. If you get any better details please let us know!

Guys be carefull the 2021 might arrive in September but it does not mean it will be the facelift. Many source report that we will get the facelift as model year 2022 mid year 2021...

if that was the case wouldnt 2021s already be out? The articles I read that mentioned the facelift as a model year 22 insinuated that MY 21 would be skipped. So if the true model year 21 is coming out next month it almost has to be the facelift, its the only thing that logically makes sense.

Where did this get this information? I haven’t seen this kind of information, can you share the link or source. The 2021 is the facelift car , 2022 will be a redesign mostly. So would be great if you can share the source.

But KIA Canada annouced the Orange Stinger as a MY21 with pre-facelift pictures and spec which does not sound good. Maybe they will run the MY21 only from September to April next years (small year instead of fully skipping a year)

Here it is where I read it on top of the fact that Canada annouced a carry over orange Singer for 2021. Still nothing official but ring now everything is pointing for MY21 no changes at all (exept addition of orange in limited number for Canada) and MY22 full refresh

That would explain how the 2021 models are coming out so soon if they don’t have any changes.

That is very disappointing. However, the Stinger is still selling fairly well in the states so they may not feel like they need to upgrade it here yet.

There is no way I would buy a 2021 model with no new changes. They could bring a 2022 model out 8 months later with all of the new features.

I may be tempted by a 2021. I'm hoping they keep the lease incentives high for just this reason. There may also be some great deals on 2020 models that are left over. We shall see.......

Performance will be the same, so if that's the primary reason AND you can get a great deal, it might be worth it. You could be in a good position to upgrade in a couple years and not lose much on your purchase.

Most of the new features on the facelift will be interchangeable to pre-facelift models.. Personally the only thing I like about the facelift is the 10.25" display that I will upgrade to once the part is available to purchase. That and the added ambient lighting strip on the top of the dash which i'm sure can also be augmented.

Agreed! Apart from the larger display, you can keep the changes. The tail lights on ours look wayyyyy better IMO and they're unique. At night, I can spot these tail lights from a quarter mile away and know "Thats a Stinger!" Plus the over-sized exhaust tips look atrocious....sorry but they're overkill. Personally if it were me, I'd be looking for a leftover MY19-20 for 13k off sticker and call it a day. Talk to me when they drop in a full digital display and the 3.5TT engine. Til then, I'll stick with my lil red neck breaker that is STILL one of the best looking 4 doors on the road...if not the best
