Three weeks now I have my Stinger Premium and, so far, I love it!
Took it on some canyon roads over the Christmas break and, man, it was nice.
In automatic mode, the transmission is not as quick as I have experienced on some other high end cars on similar roads but once you switch it to manual, things get much better and the car lets you take control of shifting without interfering too much.
In daily driving nothing to complain about besides the rear lid noise that I solved thanks to the advice I read on this forum.
I understand the V6TT is quicker than the 2.0T but I usually put around 25000 miles per year on my cars so choosing the 2.0T was a more reasonable choice related to MPG. The 2.0T has plenty of torque and is quick enough to my taste. The only thing I plan to do very soon is to install a dual mode exhaust because I find the engine tone a bit too quiet.

By the way, are there any other Los Angeles based Stinger owners yet?

Yes, in automatic mode the Stinger is programed for smooth, comfortable shifts. It does a great job at offering both a serene atmosphere and an aggressive personality when needed...

"Automatic mode"? "Manual"? Do you mean "Comfort" and "Sport"?

Isn't that referring to when you blip the paddle shifters, the transmission switches to manual shift mode, at least for a certain number of inactivity seconds, when it shifts back to completely automatic?

For me, in Sport mode, it changes back to "D" when I come to a complete stop. In any other mode I've used the paddles yes, it reverts to "D" after a few seconds.

I've not really had a chance to play with it yet, however. I need the weather to break.

How hard was it to do?
How long did it take?
