Yesterday I went and helped my aunt to pick out a new tv for her living room and to mount it. We went to Best Buy and she ended up picking out a 65” LG. I can’t help but quote Jim Carrey, “Like a glove!”
It's a plot. "They" want us isolated and drugged to the eyeballs, zoned out to constant programing. It was covid, now skyrocketing gas prices, and people won't go anywhere (remember Danny DeVito: "Stay home and watch some TV, I don't want you making me sick.").
I have it up to watch, haven't seen it yet. I am guessing that I won't learn anything revelatory, as I have been following this two year crap show for as many hours per day as a full time job.
Over the past 2 years I've been out hiking and rock climbing without much impact. If your idea of "going out" is sitting at a restaurant or in a theater, then yeah they're trying to program you into actually getting out(?). [replying to the same dumb redneck stuff, different post]
In other news - $1500 for a good 65" OLED is an awesome price. It's not even a lot of money if we consider inflation and what you're objectively getting. That said, my older LED TV is serving my purposes. Won't be picking up an OLED or QLED anytime soon, but they're both great options if in the need for a decent TV.
In other, other news - I was able to fit our current 65" LED TV in the back of my Buick LaCrosse (not a hatchback), but I needed to remove it from the box for it to fit.
