Steering wheel slippery

Hi folks, maybe I'm the only person to mention this but I find that the steering wheel-to-hand connection lacks friction, meaning I have to grip the wheel tighter than is comfortable for long periods of time.

While I could use driving gloves I don't think I could take myself seriously doing so. Is there any way to add grip to the steering wheel?

CC You can fix this problem one of two ways
1. get yourself some 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper, and go to town on the steering wheel
2. get yourself some 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper, and go to town on those soft and silky hands
