Sorry if this has been posted before but I had no idea what to search for.

On my '21 GT2, if I have the Radio selected, pressing up on the preset control on the steering wheel moves the station "up" as it appears on the screen, and down moves it down as it appears on the screen. Makes sense, functions as expected.

If I have my iPhone connected via cable but am using the FM radio as the audio source, and I have Radio selected on the display screen, the buttons still function the same way.

If I am using the FM radio as the audio source, but have the display screen set to Apple CarPlay (I do this often, as I listen to local radio but want Waze on the display to watch for cops or traffic), the preset control on the steering wheel is now reversed. Pressing up moves it "down" a station, and pressing down moves it up.

Pretty weird, and seems like it has to be a bug. Anyone else experience this? Is there a fix?

Normal... see my post below

It works the same way on my '18 GT2, it's not a bug. Just something that throws you off at first but you get used to.

The latest update changes this. The update changes how you setup pre-sets which now are in numerical sequence within mode. Using the channel switch on the steering wheel, the station changes up or down numerically within mode, no matter what screen you are on.

Guess I have to get a firmware update from the dealer then?

And just because that's the way it works on all Stingers doesn't make it not a bug. Clearly it shouldn't have been designed this way.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

You can upgrade it yourself. .. there is logic to the way they did it, it's just not a consistent UI/UX which is more difficult to learn which leads to confusion

This functionality seems to be pretty standard. I have a TIVO box and how it goes up or down channels depends which screen you are on. If you are on a TV show and you press up, it goes up the channels; if you press down, it goes down the channels. If you are on the guide screen, up goes down the channels and down goes up the channels.
