It does seem like a fairly easy installation - but I'd definitely leave it up to a professional. If I get into a collision, I want that airbag working properly...

They are pretty easy to install, have to disconnect the battery and allow it time to completely discharge. I put paddle shifters on my Mazda 6 and I had to take off the entire steering wheel to add the paddles and wire harness. I was nervous at first but had zero issues along the way.

It does seem like a lot of money - but if you have it... I'm thinking it's probably like those Lamborghini and Ferrari kit cars. You go through all the trouble to make the car look like something special/different/unique - and if the interior looks like a Pontiac Fiero or Mazda Miata - or whatever they're using to make kit cars these days - it just kind of throws things off. So, this changes the KIA badge to match the rest of the car...

There are two types of stinger airbags.
DEPOWERED, ADVANCE
Airbags sold in Korea are advanced ...
North America and Canada were mostly advanced types.
However, most of Europe, such as UK, Spain and Poland, are DEPOWERED type ...
In North America and Canada, they have the latest airbags
Europe and elsewhere knew that there was an old airbag installed.

Advanced type than DEPOWERED
It is one step upgraded airbag ...

I guess that is my question. Is there a market for used airbags? I have no idea but I would have to think there is one. The Stinger being so new and less common made not so much. Just curious if this would be an option to think about. Made this Airbag is used in multiple Kia models. I have friends that have set them off in minor collisions and got used ones from eBay and Pull a Part.

$350?? Eh %) Would pay if it would be soft plastic as in Audi OR leather covered. Mm, if it can be removed more-less easily, that could be covered with alcantara by hands. Am I right? Or you shouldn't cover airbag on steering wheel by safety reasons?

You can put something on kia badge itself but not over the entire airbag assembly as this could compromise airbag deployment.
