Just a question regarding potential learning phases on standalone ECUs. How long does it take for the new ECU to "learn" the vehicle? Anything I should do etc? I got a new ECU from Lozic and am curious the car will be in limp mode for a bit or anything of the such by default.

Approximately none. That's an OEM ECU, so the only "learning" is the fuel and timing trims, which are very slight adjustments to help it fine tune based on your fuel and environment. You won't notice the difference between "learned" and "unlearned".
The one aftermarket ECU for our car also isn't a learning ECU, any probably doesn't have long term trims of any kind.

"Learning" aftermarket fuel injection systems are a completely different animal. Even then, it's not a limp mode or anything, it's just a shitty tune that might change to a differently shitty tune.

One other question, if I clear the codes do I need to drive the car around or will they pop back up of there's an issue immediately?

Depends on the code and the issue that caused them. Some yes, some no.

I'm thinking about Lozic ECU, how do you like it so far? I wish they had more information on them like how Lap3 has on their site.
So far I haven't done shit with it since I snapped an ignition coil bolt, got the rona, and now have to fork over 2k to replace my valve cover... When I get my car back next week and install it properly I shall report back.

It depends.

Catholic boarding schools instill a sense of fear and discipline that the ECU should respond to.

Public learning establishments are a mixed bag.

My ECU went to Publix… but sometimes is lazy, disrespectful, and belligerent. Took a lot of tutoring at Royal Purple Raceway to fix.

I suggest you look into home schooling your ECU as an alternative too…

Might help your 60’ time.

I just installed mine last friday, after a few days of it getting used to my gas, Im really enjoying it so far. faster than my JB4 and my logs look cleaner as well now!

ive had mine installed for a bout 2 weeks now, lozic 1.5 and tcu. i noticed the 1st 2 days of driving watching logs from the jb4 a little timing was being pulled but nothing too concerning, nothing above 2.3 across all cylinders, but needless to say i still drove like a granny watching the logs like a hawk. after about 2 days roughly about 80-100 miles logs cleared up and look really good. time to play lol. coming from jb4 and meth on map7, wow what a difference. im rwd so you should already know traction was an issue with the jb4, much much worse with lozic even with traction control on it spins ALOT. im pretty certain im gonna have to use the boost by gear function on the jb4 to launch it at the track. in other words this things even more a monster and i love it. any other questions dont hesitate to ask i feel like lozic doesnt get the respect it deserves and some might say 2 weeks isnt enough time for assessment but i think otherwise. for what it is, its a great strong tune. fyi i use shell 93 octane and a 75/25 meth blend. i still need to do some further testing and some might already know but it seems like the meth isnt a necessity.
