So I installed my new exhaust today.. pretty easy.. used ramp and Jack stands.. the mbrp comes with clamps that suck ass but I had to use 2 of them in the rear and used napa clamps up front.. car was on ramp and I fired her up. After a few minutes I had water leaking at all 4 clamps... Drove the car for 20 minutes or so and took a peek under there and didn't see water leaking.. I have some other lap joint clamps coming tomorrow that I might try.. watcha guys think.. obviously yl water leaking out isn't what I wanna see. Anyone else have this problem with the mbrp and a easy solution??

all cars pretty much have water out the tail pipe on startup. It’s condensation lol

This isn't out the tailpipe, it was coming out the clamps on the new exhaust

That means the clamps aren’t doing their job.

Haha, ya I know. Fricken clamps that came with it suck... From what I found online apparently clamped exhausts tend to leak water and it's not a big deal.. lesson learned.. checking if anyone else had the same problem.. they should've just put gaskets on the exhaust. I'll try some u-bolt clamps for the hell of it and see. Mbrp sounds great though

Assuming the gaskets work you'll still have water coming out. It's just from the cold steel being heated by exhaust gasses. The water is going to come out one way or another.

I had the same issue with my MBRP and clamps. Unless you have an impact or a big ass breaker bar it's quite difficult to get their shitty ass clamps tight. I went to autozone and bought some 2.5 inch u clamps and that sealed it right up. Im still miffed a 1k dollar exhaust has clamps that were bought at dollar general

Yep, they were pos, basically had to get the clamp on with pure luck.. I got some lap clamps and U clamps that I'm gonna try tomorrow

Same issue with the clamps, actually ended up snapping two as we couldn't get them tight enough. Luckily my buddy had some better two and a half inch clamps that did the job.

My 2018 camaro zl1 is blowing at least a quart of water out of both sides on a cold start . It didn't do that with factory exhaust . Although now I'm using 40% E-85 and have a mild cam installed . Nit sure if that affects it . Also switched from factory blower to a 2650 Maggie. I read that the factory exhaust have weep holes in them for water drainage .

Did those clamps work? Which did you use and brand? Mine leak as well and wanted to get that fixed (it’s all black at those connections lol.). I think I get vibration from the exhaust and I wonder if it’s from those leaks?
