I had 6 spark plugs and 6 coils replace a few weeks back for a misfire code. When I replace them I regap mine plugs to .025. The stock gap was at .035.
That's a coil issue, actually seen it on other vehicles and one of my customers who kept blowing no 3 cylinder on his 5.4 triton engine. Changed the plug out 3 times and then the coil also on the 3 time and no more issues.
Sorry to interrupt and join this discussion, but at 2900 miles, My “check engine” light turned on. Unchipped stinger gt awd. Diagnostic comes back “uncertain” from local Kia dealer tech. They needed to patch in w Korea (as was explained to me)? Whatever, I just want to find out why the light turned on and get my stinger back. They put me in an optima which just doesn’t have the juice I need.
3 days later (today), I find out they need to replace ALL the spark plugs (I will need to reverify since it sounded crazy), and they are waiting for the parts... light turned on when I was accelerating on the highway.

Thank you. And what should I do about this issue? My car is fine, so far. Should I just call my dealer and he will replace the plugs for free as it is a common and known problem or it is something not covered (yet)?
Call from dealer today, "parts are in", will confirm at pickup tomorrow or Thursday if it was truly all 6 spark plugs replaced and if they did anything with the coils. From reading some of these other replies, I'm worried about running into the same issue down the road (no pun intended) IF the dealer did nothing about the coils. I know zero about cars beyond what I've picked up in this forum, what other questions should I ask when picking the car up?
Single spark plug was cracked and replaced at no cost. Put a couple hard miles on it after picking up, good as new. I asked about the coils before leaving. Service manager said, MAYBE, but would need to happen again to warrant replacing.
At ~3K miles after the first maintenance check-up, I had a similar issue that became extremely pronounced upon cold start first thing in the morning. Violent engine vibrations, jerky shifting, and engine light comes on - happened multiple times, and would fade slightly after restarting the car. After leaving it for a few days (luckily getting hooked up with a rental car) at the dealership, they ended up replacing the ECU, spark plugs, and coils. Seems to have done the trick, but waiting to see if it will hold up.
I know that this is an old thread, I am having Spark Plug issues now with my 2019 GT2 AWD with 12,500 miles, Had some feeling of jerking and was at Tail of the Dragon when my check engine light came on with extensive sputtering following; #3 misfire code. I was able to drive the car home in ECO mode and put it into the shop. drove the car today 60 miles and had the same issue. I added the K&N intake after the 3rd spark plug was replaced, no chip or tune.
I have a Stinger GT2 AWD. Just hit 2k miles. The other day I was in Sport mode and hit the gas hard. All of a sudden it started jumping, almost as there was too much gas hitting. Check Engine light came on. I shut it off and restarted the car and no CEL. Drive it normal, no issues. Hit the gas hard again and it's starts jerking again. I work at a Kia dealer so it's very easy for me to pull the car in when somethings wrong with it.
My tech pops the hood and Spark plug #4 is cracked...bad. Ordered new plug, next day we replace it. Take it out, hit the gas hard again and it's jerking again, engine's rumbling. Pull it back in to service and the new plug is CRACKED AGAIN!
Tomorrow will be day 3. I will keep everyone updated. Is anyone else have this problem though?
