This is a copy of my message I placed on facebook stinger group that has been cleaned up to be more clear but wanted broaden the question as much as possible to see if anyone with similar mods has dealt with this. My other question is, it is common for these engines to have to replace coil packs especially when tuned? Mods will be posted below.

Hey guys, trying to troubleshoot a sound coming from the hood when the car is under moderate load. By moderate I mean at low boost (between 1-4 pounds) it is normal, but 5 and above is when you get the sound. It seems to sound like a misfire but the car is not throwing a CEL and is not pulling timing. Plugs are brand new as of 5 days ago now. Previous plugs where the Densos 5346 gapped to 0.22 and were in for about 4 weeks. I will add pics of them once I removed them but they look new as well with no carbon build up. I have logs of the event as well from the JB4.

Mod List:

Lap3 2.5 ECU tune
Stillen air intakes
MBRP Catback
CPI w/fuel it sensor
JB4 for CPI control and logging
FMIC
HKS M45IL plugs
E64 (as of writing)

The sound appears to be coming from left side of the engine and I'll have videos below. In speaking with David Chung at lap3, he mentioned to check the coil packs and injectors after plugs. Again I remember someone having a similar issue and didn't want to replace all coil packs and it not be the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

*Edit I'm new so I can't post attachments yet.
