• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

The version from Kia Australia...what do you guys think and how does it compare to local aftermarket bi-modal numbers like XForce?

Caught this on YT of a guy testing out the Kia version after install with the dealer sales guy (I guess?)

Bit hard to tell the sound of it accurately from that, the distortion sounds like drone at times.

I have the bimodal. Love it. No drone that I can hear.

So I'm guessing the advantage of the "official" exhaust is that it's set up correctly (bi-modal system operates when it's sposed to operate) and that it's endorsed (for want of a better term) by the manufacturer. Are those things worth the extra price you pay compared to the aftermarket systems?

And no drone compared to aftermarket options.

Hard to say when I never really got to compare the bi-modal to other exhausts prior to having it fitted. I didn’t consider the extra money too expensive considering how much the car was. I listened to videos of the standard v the bi-modal and there really wasn’t much of a decision to make. The bi-modal gives the engine some character at idle and a good sounding blast when opening her up. The standard exhaust is pretty uninspiring. I have heard other owners have paid less for other aftermarket systems. I am happy though.

I was really lucky, had a great deal and the dealership included the Bimodal at no extra cost. I'm happy with it, when starting up on cold start, doesn't drone but does vibrate the middle console at times.
I was considering a Borla, hubby thinks this one is loud enough, sometimes I think a constant louder one would be awesome but I don't want to get a really loud one and regret it so the Bimodal is a good compromise. We want to take it touring around Tassie one day and a abnoxiously loud exhaust may prove to be a major head ache.

I have had no issues, happy with the sound compared with standard exhaust.

Hi @Carmcam, I see your'e from Geelong too. How long have you had your Stinger ? I don't see many around Geelong.
Iv'e seen 2 Snow White pearls, one with a blue stripe decal on it, and 2 reds and that's it.

You have a neighbour with a Stinger Flame.
