I have 2019 GT2.
It keeps rpm at around 1200 when driving over 45mph at comfort mode.
It's really hard to accelerate when rpm is kept in that region.
It feels like comfort mode always shifts 2 gear up than how it should've been.
Am I doing something wrong?
I wish there's a way to fix this

It's like that to save gas. Go on sport mode if you want to accelerate faster.

Use your paddle shifters to drop a few gears before accelerating. Get the RPMs up to 3500-4000 then hit the gas. You'll have minimal lag and the car will take off!

I feel like comfort mode should have been tuned something between sport mode and comfort mode
and the current comfort mode seems good enough for eco mode.

there it is again, merlin

I don't do comfort/eco unless I'm on a road trip where I'll legit sit in 8th for a few hours before the next stop.

This car is dead in town if you're not in Sport. That's just me though.

Yup, I've been driving in sport until now, but I hate jerky shifting in sport mode.
comfort mode shifting is so smooth but shifts at wrong rpms

You can try using the custom mode. Set transmission to comfort while everything else is sport.

i hate the jerky downshifting when braking. seems like its going to ruin the brakes. its really abrupt.

Ahhh so i'm not the only 2022 with annoying downshifts. Mine does it in comfort as well. I go in on the 13th to get it looked at. My guess is they will say nothing is wrong which imo is total BS. Any modern auto doesn't jerk when coming to a stop. The only real solution i have seen that fixes the issue is to tune the entire vehicle. I also got the adaptives reset and that helped for all of maybe a week so that is not a true fix.

Unless the road turns windy and technical, comfort is where I keep it. Too many lights, slow drivers, other obstacles to really enjoy sport mode.

It's been a known transmission issue. Mine does it from 4th to 3rd and 3rd to 2nd if I'm rolling to a stop. Don't want to waste my time at the shop so I'm just waiting for it to break.

Two things you can do while staying in comfort mode: pull that left paddle shifter at least a couple of times to raise RPM, or push the go pedal down far enough to tell the trans that you want power now; in a straight line you can even engage the kickdown switch (I say "straight line" because I do not recommend giving that much gas while maneuvering): that is the real message sender. For example, on my last road trip, I was cruising at 89 MPH, pulled out to pass and pushed the gas all the way: instantly the trans downshifted from 8th gear to 4th gear: and this was with engine set to Eco (in Custom mode): before I could collect myself, I was doing 130 MPH.

I dont feel like it will ever break though, thats the problem. I have yet to see a trans from a stinger actually break. I think its how the car was programmed which really sucks.

It never did that from when I got it to about 25k miles in eco mode. I've read around here that they can reset the transmission computer and it will fix it then. I will ask the dealership next time I'm in for an oil change.

Its called an adaptive tcu reset. I did mine once already and it worked for like a week and then they came back.

Ah shit, really? That sucks. Did the dealership charge you anything for it?
