Seems like I am out after owning 2 stingers. I started with intention of keeping them for at least 10 years.

Dec 2018-Oct 2021
It was a lease with intention to buyout. I was in at fault accident so didn't buy it out.

July 2019-Oct 2022
My wife's car. Someone bumped in to car behind us and pushed it in to ours.

Looks totaled to me, even if not, I won't be keeping it.

Not totaled. Probably $7,000 to $8,000. Get it fixed and then decide.

Doesn't look like total at all.

Sorry to see that happen mate, my heart sinks every time I see a post like this. It doesn't matter how careful and responsible you are, there's always some other knob not paying attention.

What are you thinking or replacing it with, and why not another stinger?

From some Facebook replies it seems like 15k+ repairs. Plus hit on value would be there too I assume it would be frame damage on report. I would be filling for diminished value if it's not totalled. I am not confident after frame damage due to the kid.

Mainly space. We had our first kid and it has been a little tight carrying stroller and things. I was looking at ioniq 5 N but it's coming out next year. I was planning to get 3rd vehicle either way, so I might get used sequoia. I have BRZ as daily and stinger was my wife's daily but I drive stinger when we are together (she put 8k miles I put rest of the 25k).

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
from the appearance, it is probably only the crash bar that will need to be straightened. main frame should be unscathed. I think if the cost is $15,000 that somebody is inflating the cost to make some money.

Yeah, the Stinger is a great all-rounder if you like hitting the track, but if you can have 2 cars then a sporty coupe and a crossover/SUV would be my setup.

I have yet to get quote, probably tomorrow or day after.

My wife wanted a suv till she drove a stinger and now doesn't want an SUV. We probably doing 3 cars now, BRZ, ioniq 5 N (next year) and SUV, at least that's the plan.

I didn't realize front damage was pretty bad too

that's minor, as in no interior damage, just a bumper cover and top grille, it looks like.

Ohh, I meant compared to what I thought the damage was. I was under impression that it was just the license plate. Now it's parking sensor and as you said, front bumper and grill.

And it came out to be 16k and change.

The rear is worse than it looks sorry about your miss fortune if it's a lease just turn it in.
This was aPXL_20231018_032139517.webp $13,000 repair

Well, I hate being told I was wrong, because I was hoping for the best based on personal experience. Glad you got diminished value too. And I still think the main frame is undamaged. Somebody made a few thousand on that job. It's an insurance industry thing. Unfortunately, because it drives up the costs for all of us.

No one does. Insurance does have negotiated rates, I choose the first shop insurance recommended. But, true, it's still over priced for sure and it's us that actually take the hit. I am glad it's not a frame damage, I can keep driving it for few more years until I have 2nd kid.

Why would a second kid put you out of the Stinger? It's perfect with four people.
I am planning to keep them extended rear facing, so both might be rear facing at the same time, I don't have much space behind me for rear facing seat. If I had moved current kid to rear facing by then, then it might work out longer.
