I got the black ones and they look like they will fit.
Send picsI got the black ones and they look like they will fit.
The issue is I don’t have the car and can’t test fit them so I would have to go to dealer and check. I hope if there is an issue I can get a refund from eBay seller. Really it’s false advertising if they say they fit.
They refunded me 22.99 and said to keep them. If anyone finds a use for them let me know.
They fit but the cut out but they leave gaps so I would say no, they aren’t cut right. Also if they r a DIY item, they should be advertised as such.
They failed to make a notice. Can someone post some pictures so we can see how they fit? I will list similar plates from bricx company tomorrow.
Good idea...I’ll keep u postedWhat if you try removing the black plastic cover, it pops out (I have taken it off already for other purpose) and then try installing the new cover without having the black plastic.
Just a thought.
Looks like a job for TUSCANI CUSTOMS! If you make them they will buy! It's not false advertising as they do fit and by this it means shape of the plates matches the shape of the door catch cups. Such plates can only be made from plastic or aluminium and they are all flat and if stinger doesn't have flat back of those cups you can't expect anyone to go to great lengths to make curved and complicated plates that would fit without extra work. It would be far to difficult and expensive and they wouldn't be sold for $33 shipped, no way.
This is actually DIY item (all stinger catch plates are) so customer has to make an extra effort to figure out how to fix these. Don't want to sound like a dick but welcome to world of tuning where most of the stuff is not plug&play.
If you aren't prepared to put in some extra work into fixing these to your doors don't buy them. Cars with flat cups don't have this problem and install is easy but Stinger owners are not lucky here.
IMO Save you money.Has anyone else bought this accessory?
Inside Door Handle Garnish Cover Hairline Metal Silver For KIA 2017-2018 Stinger | eBay
In the regular configuration of the Stinger, the inside door handles have a black plastic recessed cup behind them. I bought the brushed chrome plates to dress things up a bit. However, the plates are too large to fit into the back of the cups; instead, they are the same size as front of the opening.
That would be fine if the plates can be securely attached to the cups, but as far as I can tell, that's not possible. It's also puzzling that even though the back of the plates would have to sit about an inch away from the back of the cup, there is double-sided tape on the back of each plate. There's nothing for them to attach to.
This is a puzzle whose solution eludes me. Any ideas about how to install the plates would be most appreciated!
