Hey all,

I am pretty new to the stinger community and even newer to the car modding community. I own a Pearl White GT2. Just looking for some insight or ideas on what will sound/perform the best as I havent found too much on what I was looking to do. I am waiting until spring time to decide on a tune but I want to have my bolt on setup relatively figured out. Currently I have injen intakes and a muffler delete. The muffler delete got me the sound I was looking for temporarily before I do a full exhaust system. For my next mod I was looking to do secondary down pipes or a secondary cat delete. I have a quote for the delete at $200 from Lou's custom mufflers here in Chelmsford, MA. For the time being I was looking to be a little cheaper and do the delete instead of the $500 ark pipes or something similar, but I cant help but think that spending the little extra money here could be worth a better result and it would be something that I leave on once I get the full exhaust.

If anyone has done something similar or has any thoughts, Id love to hear about it!
(Also open to hearing that this a a stupid idea as I need to learn whats what...)

I don't really have any input because I haven't done what you're looking to do but I'm in Boston so I thought say hello!

I'm looking for a quiet exhaust setup that's all performance. Probably going to go with something valved. Also, concerned about emissions but I think we'll be good as long as we don't delete the primary cats. I'm not sure whether high flow primary cats will pass. A high end cat might, but I don't think anyone is making primary downpipes with something like GESI cats.

Eventually a performance exhaust would be nice but I’m very pleased with the muffler delete so far. Definitely not what you are looking for with quiet, but it’s for sure sporty. Next step is mo powah baby. I believe you are right in saying that we are okay to delete secondary cats and pass emissions in Mass.

would love to run into you someday to compare!

muffler delete and secondary delete will surely not sound good... it will be loud and raspy

Muffler delete + secondary cat delete. Since it’s not mentioned I’m assuming they still have the stock resonators.

Sounds good depending on who you ask. Young set of ears over here.

Thank you! I’ve checked this video out before and love the sound. Just looking for anyone with some personal experience on the secondary cats.

I think catback should be first. Borla, MBRP, Quicksilver or ARK all sound pretty good IMO. JUN BL sounds great as well but is pricey, same with Ark.

I went with Borla cat-back, then Jun, B.L Secondary DP (primarily as it was so easy to setup). The setup is loud, but sounds very exotic. Feels considerably smoother across the range over my last exhaust, and I have not actually put it on a dyno, but feel like I definitely gain speed faster.
